Man people are really setting themselves up for a HUGE dissapointment when the trade deadline comes and goes without us doing anything. Can guarantee you Masai will stand pat after this "successful" road trip. My prediction is we do nothing at the deadline and then resign FVV to 5/160 and Gary Trent Jr to 4/100 over the summer while not addressing our bench or need for a Center or backup point guard.

Without even looking at the numbers, I'm going to assume that puts us in the tax. No way we go into the tax with this exact same core. One of two will likely be back, not both.

It doesn't necessarily put us in the tax. Thad Young's contract has only $1M guaranteed, drop him and those contracts to Fred and Gary would not put us over the tax unless our draft pick was very high. It really all depends upon where we draft, we'd also have to drop Juancho. It would be close though (projected tax line in 2023-24 is $162M).

So one possibility is make no moves now, keep Fred and Gary, then hope to trade OG + Scottie + filler + 2023 first round pick for KD and have a starting lineup of Fred, Gary, KD, Pascal, and Precious.

I think I'd prefer Markelle Fultz over Suggs. He has improved into a decent guard. He has good size, plays good defence and his shot is slowly coming around...but he is still more of a slasher than shooter.
