Lol I'm not saying the draft necessary wasn't rigged, but some of you really need to understand how statistics and probability work

Haha yeah, and now we just get a few more years of everyone in the sports media complaining about how weak the East is. lol

I always wondered how much of it is location. You would think most free agents want the warm weather or be by the ocean. So they get free agency advantage. If the league is also rigging the draft to help those teams and the ones down south, the Eastern teams are **** lol

Even we dont win the lottery, we would have landed 5-6 at worst if we tanked and traded properly. Now, you have the 9th pick and you have no all-star or future.

This is delusional if people actually think we would have had a roster bad enough to end up with the worst record in the NBA. I would rather have our roster and get the 9th pick than have tried he worst team in the league's roster and get 5th.

ya there's nothing to be happy about with the 5th pick and a blown up roster.....that's the worst situation to be in.

At least with the 9th pick and a new Ingram addition we have something to look forward to, even if it's not championship worthy but the Raptors still haven't made their "contender" trades.

Well 2nd seems a very good place to be. For sure about the 76ers. They're the biggest winners of tonight.

Knowing Masai, he might have still picked Maluach at #3... so if he's still there at #9 it's no problem.

Completely demoralizing for these bottom end teams that just desperately need top end talent. They got to pray one of these bottom half lottery guys surprises big time. Then its onto next year's lottery.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Don’t you know how randomness is supposed to look?
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

morey is a good drafter but he could trade it for immediate help.

he is that's true. i was speaking more about this draft in particular and a guy like Ace. Good point about trading the pick.

Tricky spot really, I don't think Edgecombe or Bailey helps them much right away. 3rd pick is also making over 10m a year, that factors in quite a bit on a team with 3 max contracts.

I remember that Scase poster arguing with me when I said "ATL won the lottery at 10" he was arguing with back n forth for posts on post questioning my basketball intellect and even called me a few names and pick 8 n 11 jumped to #1 n #2

lol lol

Either way I hope Khaman is there, I'll take Queen as well. Plus we stay well under the tax

You understand that we have no all-stars and we can literally can sit anyone out. Which we did last season (barret and quickley) and this season.

You know we were games ahead of Philadelphia at the deadline right? The same Philadelphia team that just moved up to grab the third pick. We also dropped 2 spots last lottery as well. It just goes to show you that you either go all in for the tank or you try to compete and pray for luck like Atlanta and Dallas if you fall short. But no more half measures.

We also had one less win than the Spurs, who got the 2nd pick. It would have been better for us to win one more.

Sure but you can’t predict that, but you can be on the right side of the probability to stay in the top 5. No one in their right mind would choose a 52% chance for a top 4 pick over a 26% and 8.6% chance.

Sure, but it depends what it costs you. Gutting your team to get that edge may not be worth it. This team was not going to lost less than Washington, the Jazz, the Nets, and the Hornets once they lost their guys to injury. We just have way better players. To get to their level, we'd have to sell off talent. You have to enter this into the equation.

both Barnes and Ingram are more than capable of being allstars. And Raptors are primed to trade for another allstar.

Or sit players for the entire year and have them miss out on development time
