Don't worry guys, I'm sure there's enough depth in the draft that someone will 'fall.'

Ala Drummond

And you know what? There just may be. Then Raptor fans can boast about how we have the deepest bench in the league for the 8th straight year.

Definitely a Raptor staple.

come home from work and see the raptors won! ****! Masai must've been assured a top 3 pick in this draft by Silver because right now we're headed for no man's land!

I'll give it a couple of weeks before I hit the panic button. After that I'll bend over and accept another 9th place suppository.

WELL YA KNOW SOMETHING MEAN GENE

this isn't pretty. this 2 game winning streak hurts. I knew trading Rudy would be bad news. I just knew it.

BUT LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING BROTHER

i still think we can get bottom 5 in the league. it's going to be tough, though. the competition in my eyes is utah, sacramento, orlando, milwaukee and philly. we can crack that. but it won't be easy.

We should all be jaded.

I'd prefer to be rational for the time being.

Yeah well good luck with that. Rational would have been to blow it up before the season.

Trying to get the best offers possible for these guys sounds pretty rational to me, no?

It isn't going to be affected by a 2 game winning streak over awful teams.

No. Ensuring no more wins is rational. Tanking is like trying to win. It's never too early to look at the win loss column. Hey if they lose games, take your time. But they seem to have a little too much depth now.

The little extra we might get from a Kyle Lowry trade won't make the difference between winning and losing. Getting a high pick this year is our best bet.

Why can't Derozan/Lowry/Amir be "injured"

Post#671 » by umirin » Sun Dec 15, 2013 4:44 pm

What's wrong with going like:

"Lowry and Amir had a collision in practice. Lowry out a minimum of 3 months. Amir to be reevaluated after the all star break"

This way we can keep our talent and still get a high pick. Surely this is much better than trading these assets away for scrubs and 2nd round picks?

I mean

Lowry
DeRozan
Wiggins/Parker
Amir
JV

Has got to be much better than

Vasquez
(Scrub)
Wiggins/Parker
(Scrub)
JV

Because they're professional basketball players. I want to tank too but this board is unreadable right now.

They can get paid to eat skittles with first row seats, and then contend for years to come. Surely the players can appreciate this?

Is it time to take the tWo to the next level with our own kickstarter project for a downtown advertisement? Should we pepper the streets with posters? Bring giant signs to the arena and boo the team non-stop?

It would only be bad if you went downtown with a baseball bat. 8-)

Masai fleeced the Kings so bad on the Gay trade we are actually a decent team now.

Vasquez is an above average back-up
Patterson is better than I expected
Salmons, Hayes will always give good minutes off the bench

I don't wish them harm, but I'm fine with them being "injured" and sitting out tons of games due to "personal reasons" or "jet-lag".
