They only win if their 29th overall pick turns into something.

It’s just SL but I expected much more from Ochai. Let’s just hope that our top guys can make a difference for him. But even if they get him open shots, he still has to make them.

Let’s just be happy we got KO in the deal. He’s a great guy to have on this roster.

It'd be hard to call it a win, but Masai telegraphed his interest in trading the pick and Ainge basically sold him an expiring KO that we could have had in FA (and judging by how the market shook out, for cheaper!) and Masai's friend's son. I knew it was a turkey when Bobby sold the trade as "his spirit is going to lift up Scottie," which is what I thought was one of the things Scottie was supposed to bring to his teammates.

I agree, though, it's hard for Utah to really win the trade and easier for the Raptors. Agbaji is a consistent corner 3 away from being useful and Olynyk is here and useful.

Then you’re just competing with teams for KO. KO by himself is worth more than the 29th pick.

But yeah it’s an insignificant trade. Very safe trade for the team. Ochai is not looking good but like you said, if his shot comes back then he’s a serviceable player.

Well the Jazz got Collier in a player drop. So if I'm the Jazz I'm thinking that's a preferred outcome to paying the two salaries. KO for us is what we really got. End of. Not horrible for a late first return. Yes Ainge gave up a 24 year old former first rounder who they were never going to QO. I really think Raps need to modestly buy out Vezenkov, Trade Agbaji and Boucher for someone like Finney-Smith who is headed to free agency in 2025. That's a 3 for 1 roster shuffle.

Nobody expects him to be an all star but at this point in his career he should at least be consistently solid in summer league against mostly younger players. The fact he played like **** is concerning and can't be ignored.

He was passed up 28 times. Collier has lots of flaws. Not saying he can’t be a solid player but clearly teams did not like what he brought to the table.

I think they should give Ochai some time with the regulars and see what he can do. I believe there is a good shooter there and if he can shoot then he’s a solid rotation player. DFS doesn’t make too much sense for us at this stage in our rebuild.

The best move is to decline his player option for next season and free up $6.5 million.

Competing with teams isn't necessarily a bad thing. Good teams that need vets don't have much cap to give, and bad teams don't want to put money on vets. In hindsight, we know the market on bench players plummeted. We might have gotten Kelly for even cheaper (and probably would have). We might not have gotten Kelly at all, but then what is the big loss there? The team looks to be pretty bad, says they're fine with being pretty bad, and Kelly is 33 years old.

Imagine if 24 year old Gradey Dick was playing like this two years from now in summer league. This is definitely concerning unfortunately, and I’m someone that doesn’t put much stock in summer league.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Bobby bid against himself and got fleeced by Utah. Agbaji will literally be out of the NBA after this contract. Another case of the Raptors torching assets (draft picks).

Seems like the Raptors organization have miscalculated on prospects lately. Only good pick recently has been Scottie Barnes while the rest were all busts.

My theory is because they keep targeting these scrubs that can’t score and then calling them “two way players”.

Not to mention JV just went to the wiz for 10/yr and had zero suitors, JV is inarguably a better player, who is marginally worse from 3, and can actually play centre as opposed to a PF playing the role of a stretch 5.

This is ultimately not a trade that I'll lose sleep over, but it's just another case of a wasted asset, and bidding against themselves for no reason.

Wtf are you talking about?

Banton just got his option picked up. Very late pick.

Koloko was tracking just fine until his healthy issue.

Gradey is a bust?

You are saying all 4 picks just 3 weeks ago are busts based on 4 games?

Only DJ has been abust so far.
