Does Denver decide to flip (or not) before or after the lottery?

I hate how the coin toss decides the lottery odds and the order if they don't move into the top 3.

The team that wins the coin toss should have a choice of:

The higher odds and lower pick, or the lower odds and higher pick. In this case the middle team would stay in the middle.

What is our record in coin flips?
We lost the coin flip to the warriors (barnes)
We lost the coin flip to the grizzlies (Henry)

Why not roll a dice, each team gets 2 numbers assigned to them.

The 2nd role, the remaining 2 teams get 3 numbers each, or you can flip a coin.

We basically have been screwed in every coin flip and how we were not allowed top picks from day 1 from the NBA. They owe us huge.

Is there a deadline for them to make the decision or can they even make it draft night some time?

When does the lottery take place?

Pretty sure that decision will made immediately after the lotto. What is there to even think about?

Anyone else take a look at the upside of Korkmaz? Ujiri was scouting him. Super young, super long and super skilled.

Three players I think will be good pros outside the top 8-10. Luwawu. Korkmaz. Sabonis. All Euros. The prize of this draft outside the top three is Hield.

at the presser: "we were fortunate to be able to spread the cap hit for Dragan over two lottery picks. While he won't be able to come over right away, we will retain his rights, and we're confident we got the most talented player for the longterm future of this franchise. This works in our favour since we don't have to wait as long for him to develop as his rookie contracts will only kick in if he chooses to come over. Even though this doesn't open up any additional capspace, this also has the added benefit of allowing us to pursue other players via trade/free agency without having to tie up two roster spots."

The coin toss is already 99.9% about the draft order. The 2 teams split the ping pong balls with the extra (if one exists) going to the winner.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_draft_lottery
In the event that teams finish with the same record, each tied team receives the average of the total number of combinations for the positions that they occupy. In 2007, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Portland Trail Blazers tied for the sixth worst record. The average of the 6th and 7th positions in the lottery was taken, resulting in each team getting 53 combinations (the average of 63 and 43). Should the average number not be an integer, a coin flip is then used to determine which team or teams receive the extra combination. The result of the coin flip is also used to determine who receives the earlier pick in the event that neither of the tied teams wins one of the first three picks via the lottery.

Since we love surprise picks lately, maybe we'll go OG Anunoby...

Really wish there was more footage on this kid but his measurements, seems to have a great frame n apparently tough defense makes him sound pretty intriguing.

You were the one questioning me about him a while back, so what has suddenly changed your mind since you haven't seem to have found any new footage?

1. You don't seem to understand I was sincerely asking what you n others see in him n that I genuinely want to see footage of that...I wasn't saying it in a condescending way like you or anybody else was wrong I just literally have not seen it. As I stated in the minimal footage I'd seen nothing did really stand out so I wanted to see what was being described because I can't find it.

2. I always love upside picks. When a kid already has great physical attributes n can hang his hat on defense he should at least have that as a niche in the league. Now if he really can shoot the 3 n shows promise to develop offensively that can be a great pick for us especially since that fits the bill of all we're really looking for out of our SF right now.

3. Blame it on Powell. The kid has been a total shocker but it started with being a gritty defender with good physical tools...sounds very similar to how this kid is being described n if he's already hitting the 3 in just his 1st year in college. Finding a great 2 way player would be another huge pick up if we can develop him properly as well n if he has the same fire...but again I'd like to see more of him just have a better feel what he's like as a player

There are torrents of the Indiana/Kentucky game all over the internet. That game is why you take OG Anunoby in the lottery.

I'm curious how Anunoby will perform at the combine. I've watched some videos of him and he seems to run from end to end very slowly for a small forward. Kind of lumbers up the court. Basically runs like a guy who doesn't run much, if that makes sense to anybody. Not that it's the most critical ability. Bruno runs end to like a gazelle and he's no star at this point.
