I wonder what they'd give up. I'm guessing it'd have to be a ton of draft capital based on CLE's roster. Philly doesn't want to waste prime Embiid.

Simmons for Rubio, Okoro, Windler and a ton of 1st?

I just don't see how CLE can put together a package that'll push Philly

I’d only trade our first if it’s lotto protected. Reddish is basically a poor man’s Gary otherwise

We have a “shooter” in Svi that hasn’t made more than 2 3’s in a game this whole season. Any NBA talent at the guard position would be heaven sent. Tired of watching our bench average 10 points collectively

Yeah I mean sure I’d love to improve our bench scoring but Reddish isn’t some efficient player either (Svi has a better TS%). Not really worth giving up a 1st round pick right now, unless it’s lotto protected

sexton to a 3rd team would be the key.

Assuming he could be had for cheap, I’d give it a shot

Boucher works in a 1 for 1 deal

Horford + 2022 Celtics 1st + 2022 Celtics 2nd for Dragic + Boucher

Celtics salary dump Horford and pickup the expiring salaries of a veteran PG + underperforming big with some upside.

Raptors take on salary next season for a 1st and 2nd.

Horford’s defence and 3-point shooting have slipped this year and overall has been pretty underwhelming.

It would greatly depend on the protections on the pick, but it would also put us in the tax so it would have to be minimal. I think it would be more cost effective for them to dump Hermangomez.

Call me crazy, I think Bagley in Toronto would be great... You can see glimpses of at least solid 1 on 1 D...

If the price were reasonable at least

Horford contract for next year is only partially guaranteed, like 10mil.
They already gave up16th pick last year to get rid of kemba and get horford because of the partial gurantee.

Unlikely they give up another pick to get rid of horford.

Like I responded a few posts ago about Jalen, and then what?

He is ufa and suns(or any team that trades for him like raptors) cannot resign him more than his current salary.

So either he is a bust and trade is useless or he breaksout and raptors are handicapped and cannot resign him.

Lose lose.

He will be used as salary ballast in a trade, not as an asset.

What about a,

Gordon
Theis

for

Dragic
Boucher

We get a useful big and a bench scorer, they get out of some money. Unless this has tax implications which I'm never good at figuring out.

I would be okay giving lottery/top 10 protection for Boston on that pick. They are a treadmilling team currently that won't finish any higher than 5-6th in the east. Can easily see pick falling between 15-20

We'd be putting ourselves deep into the tax next year taking that much money for next year and sending out only expirings.

I was thinking of something based around Gallo and Dragic because Gallo has only 5 million guaranteed for next year.

Let\s say Dragic, Boucher and protected 1st for Gallo and Reddish.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I don’t see the Celtics giving up Horford after his recent play.
Better play might be Eric Gordon. He can come off the bench and take the scoring pressure off Flynn Yuta and Precious.
