2023 Draft Prospect discussion

Agree. Need to findnthat balance. This team needs a creator more than ever. Someone like a poor mans jayson tatum or we trade it in a package for SGA.

Dariq Whitehead might be that guy. He has to do A LOT to get close to Tatum, but he's the closest guy I've seen.

Whitehead is too small to be like Tatum...Baba Miller on the otherhand, looks like THE steal of the draft to me right now assuming he stays under the radar (which I pray he does as Scottie did as FSU as well)...get on the wagon (although ofc gotta see what he looks like when he gets here, he might be a pumpkin, I'm denying he could flop but he looks like a great prospect -- might be 2nd highest imo if he looks as he has in footage, flame away) lol.....*shoutout Jarace Walker though, I'm with you on liking him as a non top 5 prospect, if he can improve off the dribble, there's a ton of potential there physically.

Ironically I think you have the wrong Celtic lol if anything he reminds me of Jaylen Brown. 6-6-6'7ish with a strong frame & athletic. He's a bit more advanced at the same age but I think he's more in line with Brown than JT because Tatum is taller/longer (who's 6'9-6'10), more of a natural scorer with better shooting touch. I could be wrong but personally I really get more of a Jaylen Brown or Jimmy Butler vibe to Whitmore than Tatum.

Jaylen Brown was an insane athlete, not so sure Whitmore has that bounce.

There is not a lot of footage of Baba out there, and the ones I’ve seen he looks really raw.

I'm the original Baba Miller bus driver, I just suggested Dariq Whitehead because Tatum was mentioned. They're both smooth scorers. He's not being used correctly in college. He should be featured. I also think he'll measure closer to 6'8" than 6'6" but that's to be seen.

Sorry I'll probably try to respond to couple of you later lol but I just wanted to throw out that I think Jordan Walsh looks like he'd be a GREAT pick up in the 2nd rd if he drops that far imo. VERY good defender plus has some skills, decent shooting & size on the wings. Again not sure if he'll be there but he'd be one of my top targets right now in the 2nd. I know we got RH Jr on our squad but Walsh actually reminds me of the OG Ron Harper or Doug Christie.

Right now nbadraft.net has us taking Taylor Hendricks in the 2nd rd (which would be great) but I don't see him falling that far. I'd also keep an eye out for Cissiko if he drops, if not Adem Bona has always been interesting just due to physical tools to develop.

Again not a fan of the twins at all. Freakishly athletic and terrific playmakers (especially Amen), but not knowing how to shoot is a huge red flag.
Very high risk, high reward talent.

Neither is top 5 in my books.

They have almost Draymond-esque releases but the talent is there. If Masai thinks they're the guys I'm on board. The raw tools are all there. Obviously, we need to do a better job developing guys other than Pascal. But if either of these guys are willing to work the sky's the limit. Work ethic and mind set will be huge in their pre-draft interviews.

That sort of hope of development in an offensive game has been linked with our drafts for far too long leading to the type of team we ve now , we need a bucket getter for once ! Enough with this struggle offense

Don't pay too much attention to his stats at the moment because Jon Scheyer is in over his head, but Dariq Whitehead will be a bucket getter in the NBA.

I guess use the early 2nd rounder on Edey. Have him platoon with Koloko at C and start which ever matches up with the other team?

In an ideal world, I would try for that combination somehow at C (A bigger C and a mobile C but I think both have to be shot blockers).
I liked in our championship season when we alternated JV & Ibaka based on matchups until Gasol arrived. Trying to get a C that provides everything just isn't practical. Most C's in the league have some weakness.
