Hopefully it's like a two year, 2nd year team option type deal if that happens and we get something more out of it because I am not a fan of Russell at all.

Windhorst was too pissy for there to be a Fred to the Lakers option in the bag. And now we're hearing all this Lakers news today about LeBron and AD's future.

Wasn't suggesting it is in the bag or anything. As far as the Lakers go it is pretty clear there is a battle going on. We also got the report of the Lakers planning to keep the 17th pick earlier this week. It's the age old battle of Lebron vs. all of his team's future
assets. Now Lebron wants to leverage retirement.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I think the S&T would be DLo + whomever we tell them to draft at 17 for Fred. And then Kenny Atkinson firing up the fanbase by talking about "sharing the ball," "playing for each other" until ultimately blowing it by letting it slip that Scottie reminds him of a young Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Exactly.

I also feel like it’s difficult to really hire a good coach, especially since all these coaches are in the top 1% already. It’s hard to find the best of the best and it takes time to evaluate.

It takes time for Masai to evaluate. Milwaukee, Phoenix, Philly, Detroit, not so much

For the Atkinson part, I sure hope it means Kenny is a serious candidate. Wouldn't be respectful to interview him so late if we were already set on top three Sergio Jordi Darko

Yes. Siakam and Fred are good NBA players. Scoot was a bad GLeague player. They were .500. They would be in the .300s with those moves and hope to turn it around 2-3 years from now. Sergio isn't coming over just to babysit and tell Scoot his airballs look good leaving his hand.

Fred is a good NBA player? If his percentages and constant "Me/Bet on myself ball" are what you call good basketball, then I think we just need to agree to disagree. I'm not interested in .500 ball and replacing FVV with Scoot is a risk I'm willing to take.

I dont think Sergio or Kenny would have the stomach to watch FVV throw up random 3-balls and drive into the lane to get blocked over and over again.

There's a discord for these takes. See if you can snag an invite.

Nah, no thanks. There's always room for intelligent discussion on here, so I'll reply here.

Let's get even crazier and deal Pascal to Brooklyn for picks and Spencer Dinwiddie. Reunite the gang.

Meh I wouldn’t mind Russell and 17 for Fred if Kenny gets the job. He got a lot out of Russ when he coached him. I don’t buy the lakers keeping 17. It’s a threat to teams to up the trade offers.
Aka, Toronto give us Fred or we will keep 17.

Evaluating…Maybe they will take the off-season to evaluate some more and hire a coach next offseason like how they evaluated during the trade deadline so they can make moves this summer? Lol

DLo better than anything rumoured to have been possible for Toronto to snag…and I’m not a DLo fan, at all.

DLo on an expiring contract?

If so, that would be worth it to get rid of him, and DLo can be dealt at the deadline to a contender.
