Keeping Brown would be a massive mistake IMO

It TOR enters off season with cap space they can easily get back à veteran for same structure as Brown .

We need draft capital

Of course it the only offer you can is a lesser player that you don’t need as well as a late 2nd pick I understand that it might be better to keep him.

The best deal you can have would be for expiring filling + 1st . If we get that offer should be a no brainer.

If we only get a bad contract with term + 1st , I understand that you need to considers the opportunity cost of losing some cap space

But still would be disappointing if we keep him . Would be a lost opportunity.

Siakam for 4 * 1st pick sounds that much better than Brown + 3 * 1st pick IMO

He'll still have a ton of value in the off season and is far from a negative player to have on this team. So if teams don't want to play ball this year.. *shrug*

Yeah that is a big part. We can trade Brown for some assets now, and then have huge cap space in the summer to give some other role player a 2/40 contract and trade them at the deadline for more assets again.

If we can rid ourselves of Brown / Schroder / Boucher that gives us cap space as far as I know?

a Fournier and pick(s) deal makes sense imo. We maintain the cap flexibility while being compensated for the downgrade in talent. If they want to include Grimes or Sims, that's fine, though the draft capital is what really matters.

I wouldnt go that far, its more that were not tue center of attention anymore.

Its like in baseball, the top free agents sign first.

Our trade chips are the fringe guys — a lefty specialist, a super utility goingnfielder and a low end middle of the order bat!
