I predict whoever doesn't end up last between Wizards and Jazz will win the #1 pick

How can Portland be winning? Don't know how to tank, properly?

Yeah he had a bad game and there's questions about his rebounding but those are questions I trust our staff to handle. He's raw and it shows, but that was always the case prior to last night's game so if you weren't concerned about him being a potential project, I don't know what to tell you.

Question is, do we need another project C?

Maybe trading one of our guards for a real backup C and replacing that guard with a rookie G, is the better way to go.

Almost down 20 and it's just the second quarter. Pop isn't going to let up. If we're going to get the 7th worst record, we're going to need to do it ourselves.

Only down 4 now

They have entered that area of a tank where you have to get fake wins because you have been too bad for too long. Also they didn’t extend Billups so he is auditioning for his next job if fired. But the Blazers know how to tank, they are probably the most shameless tankers in the league coming down the stretch the last few years.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I think Kon Knueppel is definitely the kind of player Darko would love. If you can trade Gradey for Lively and take Kon that could work.

We're going to take the BPA, the logjam doesn't have anyone with any core potential. A star level guard must have some form of burst, strength or natural tools. I would guess that's why Masai is interested in Gonzalez. He has that rare combination of size, burst, heavy frame, and he has guard skills.

I don't see the Mavericks doing this, especially if the KD trade comes to fruition since Lively is one of the few assets Dallas has and the Suns desperately need an upgrade at the 5.

In a heartbeat.

Then draft Proctor with Port 2nd!
Bring back Boucher on vet min
Bring back ORob for depth

IQ Ochai BI Barnes Yak
Shead RJ Walter Boucher Lively
Proctor Battle KK Mogbo ORob
2-ways-Rhoden, Chomche and an undrafted guy
Or with all the youth, bring back Temple to continue working with the kids. Is a great voice for them to listen to.

2-ways+ Proctor and Mogbo get lots of 905 time for development.

That's a bunch of playable depth able to handle when injuries happen as teams almost always have 1-3 guys hurt and we know BI will very likely miss time.

Treat it like hockey...run 2 "lines" and be aggressive defensively.

How?

Ochai is there for his POA defense and 3+D and not needing the ball in his hand on offense. Great cutter too.

Offense runs thru IQ and BI.

Either that or the Spurs win and I think both are possible.

The Mavericks have been much better with AD back in the lineup and we'll probably be resting Poeltl to let Davis feast in the paint.

Undersized backcourt. IQ is average as a playmaker, not really consistent finding easy look for others. He doesn't put enough pressure on defense attacking the basket either. Very limited as a lead guard.

Wrt Ochai, his 3P% has been promising this season, but can he do it consistently?

I think it's a mediocre lineup all things considered. For next year, a part of me wants to see the team evolve together through the season, establish "culture" and all.. But the other part of me sees a team where Masai and Bobby are just loading up on assets, with everyone being trade-able (and probably Jakob or BI having the highest value), and we have a completely different roster in a couple of years.

I have said that it wouldn't shock me if Masai pulls a sneaky trade few see coming. Use this newfound depth to consolidate.

We are set up where 3 guys with higher contracts expire within 2 years so something could happen.....this offseason or in the near future. That's why I am excited...the possibility of something big because we have the assets and depth for it, but if it doesn't happen now, we still have plenty of upside with so much youth.

Time will tell

Should have been done and out of the way a long time ago and the very least vs Nets. You could have ended season at home starting everyone but BI. Maybe Gradey sit? Beat the crap out of Hornets for team and fans then seen skeleton to Tx for last 2 but no we F up and put draft capital at risk again.

MU needs to have the talk on selfish players again.

Rest everyone vs. Mavs with AD and hope it's an L. Then do whatever afterward.
