WTF, I assumed the game was over, come back to it later to see Haliburton being interviewed and they won the game.

It's one of those situations where I wasn't sure who I would be rooting for. Early in the game, I was kind of like "OKC deserves this. Their moves were so smart, and SGA is incredible." When Indy started this late run, I was like "Hell yeah! Show em!"

I'm just on some "I hope both teams have fun" **** at this point.

I think Pascal winning his 2nd will be the better story, and indirectly puts the Raps in a positive light too on Masai

I don't think selling low on the ECF MVP who goes on to win a title will put anyone in a positive light. The second guessing has already started and that's not going to make it any better.

As Masai once said, his success his my success

Indiana has been shooting 40% behind the three-point line in the playoffs so far. Is shooting 6% higher for one game really considered a variance game? What about the fact that the Pacers turned the ball over TWICE as many times as they've averaged throughout the playoffs yet still pulled off the win? Give them some credit, man.

They're playing against the best in the west, not the JV conference with the stellar duos of KAT/Brunson and Mitchell/Garland (when not injured) on defense.

Contested Toppin/Nesmith 3s and backboard Turner stepbacks may be a trend, but I'll bet against it.

Yup, what I said in the other thread. A team that can just get hot from 3 at any point kind of nullifies a 48 minute game lol. Doesn’t matter how well the other team plays when players can jack up shots from everywhere and make them now.

Also OKC relies a ton on Shai to do everything and Indiana has a more balanced attack. This isn’t going to be easy for OKC. They’re going to have to go real hard on defense to win this and run Indiana off the 3 point line.

Halliburton has been ridiculous with this last second shots lol.

The only reason OKC was leading this game was the turnovers. Indiana beat them everywhere else other than points in the paint. But points in the paint don’t matter when Indiana shoots 18/39 from 3 lol.

I was wrong about this team. They’re a pest to play against since they started playing defense too at times. Their offense is ridiculous.

The Pacers have a lot of good shooters and they've done this all year; Nesmith shot 43% during the season, Turner shot 40%, Haliburton shot 39%, Siakam shot 39%, Toppin shot 37%, etc. Nembhard was at just 29% on the season, but he hit 35% of his 3FGA in his first two seasons while hitting 48% during the playoffs last year. I'd bet on the Pacers having at least another game like tonight where they hit 15+ threes at ~45%.

What I have serious doubts of happening again is Indiana turning the ball over 25 times while OKC turned the ball over just 7 times. That is some serious variance that the Pacers had to overcome with clutch defence, playmaking and shooting.

I started to get bored because it looked like thunder was steady holding a 10 point lead… pacers just looked outmatched. Turned it off. Randomly checked box score, thunder up 94-79 in the 4th I was like yeah this is over. Check the box score again a bit later all of a sudden it’s 102-98 lmao so I’m like I have to tune back in. The rest is history.

Oldest fact about this game and we saw it today, Haliburton did it today, and he did it in the previous series against the Knicks. The game belongs to the wing. PFs, Cs are supplmentary.

Because he got Scottie and Scottie was due for a pay day. You now have Ingram, Quickley, Barrett. He's in a much better spot right now.

[Uthayakumar] Tyrese Haliburton is 6-for-7 (85.7%) when taking a shot to tie or take the lead in the final 90 seconds of the 4th or OT this playoffs. That’s the most such shots in a single postseason since 1997.

He can feel that on a personal level (and I have no doubt that he does), but that’s just not going to be how it is portrayed. Rightfully so.

These decisions are tough, but it’s his job to make them. You don’t get credit for all possible outcomes unless it actually turns into a win-win.

They really don't need to rely on SGA, though. JDub can just walk into the paint with a bit of patience. If you just bring Hali into the action their D falls apart. Caruso and Wallace were in layup drives a bunch.

I truly think they've been used to the tough road to the rim against a big defensive team in Minny and haven't gotten used to the tissue soft D of the Pacers and how easily it folds.

Winning with 24 turnovers in a finals game is genuinely crazy lol
