But the concerns regarding his inability to generate offense in a half-court setting does not make much sense to me. Watching the games, he BARELY, if at all, gets the ball to go one-on-one against his man or create plays for his teammates. How can it be a concern when he doesn't even get the ball? Terrence Jones, Doron Lamb and Marquis Teague always have the ball in their hands so it pretty much limits the opportunities for Davis and MKG.

PJ3 is more of a face-up PF than SF from what I'm seeing.

I was late to watching the game between Kentucky and North Carolina, but from what I saw of the game, Davis was being passive. He looked to pass the ball rather than score; he reminded me of Joakim Noah in that sense making decisions at the top of the key but not showing any interest in trying to score.

That's another good comparison for AD

Our team would be very long out there. Which could become our style of defence. Real problem is that he doesn't shoot 3s.

Nope. PJ3 wouldn't be playing SF on my team. I like him as a face up PF and could learn to post up better and put on weight so he can handle the job full-time down low.

I've said this before but in a weird kind of way he reminds me of Bosh. Which is a pretty viable solution as a go-to scorer down low since I don't personally see Bargnani as a part of our future plans to build a contender. If we do draft PJ3 though, Gilchrist or Adonis Thomas would be good compliments at that 3 spot. Miller could be too but I haven't seen enough of his perimeter game on the college level to make a good judgement.

Bosh is who he reminds me of too, though with possibly more passing potential - but probably worse rebounding

The rebounding is the only reason I'm not all in with PJIII as #1. He could be just a 7rpg guy in the NBA which would piss of a lot of people even if he's scoring 20

But I'd honestly be shocked/flabbergasted if PJIII did anything less than 16 and 6 in the NBA at PF. I think his worst case scenario is being a really talented player who Bargnani's it up. He was never an Anthony Randolph type "body only" as his rep suggested, the skill and feel offensively is there and with his athleticism and length he should at least be an enigmatic starter

So that's another reason I like him. If PJIII ranges from 16/6 enigma to Chris Bosh perenniel all-star if he pans out, and Harrison Barnes ranges from Marvin Williams 11/4 "whoops!" to 16 and 6 Luol Deng if he pans, that's an extremely easy decision for me. I could see PJIII being the Rudy Gay/Greg Monroe of this draft and seeing his "lack of motor" drop him a few spots, while GMs make the mistake they always do and take guys like Patric Young and Thomas Robinson ahead of him - those two in particular have the Ekpe Udoh/Tristan Thompson/Jordan Hill/Shelden Williams "What the ****, they spent a top 5-7 pick on an average hustle big" fate all but written on their foreheads

Where would Jonas be ranked this year? #5 again?

I want to know what we have in that kid ASAP, it could impact our draft strategy re: trades/toss-ups.

Perry's floor is a more versatility, athletic Lemarcus Aldridge. Perry has Aldridge's post game and feel in the paint while having better passing and ball-handling skills.

Your point about him being that enigmatic starter that all championship teams have is spot on. Will he be the type where you can throw an entire franchise in his back and say lead the way, no, I don't think so. But that's not a bad thing. He's the poster child for the guy who will always make defenses stay honest while spacing the floor to make any offense run fluid, even against great defenses. He's a walking match-up problem.

If PJ3 shows the ability to play the 3 (which I think he can to some degree), and continues to show his assertiveness and aggressiveness on both end, then I definitely take him over anyone in the draft.

Exactly my point about AD earlier, he just started to play like a big man this year and people are already knocking on his lack of offensive repertoire.

I say 5-7 range. The ADs, Barnes will always be drafted high, one of Lamb or Sullinger. Thats 5 right there. Jonas will compete with Beal, Qmiller, and PJ3.

I think Lamar Odom's career (in how high up he gets in the league, not style of play) could be what he has. Some people are disappointed compared to his talent level, he flames out a bit as a 1st option and being depended on every night - But overall, he ends up with a very nice career and still has a solid winning attitude, it's just not an assertive one

I wonder how long you stick with Teague. They need to play through TJones for anybody else to play their game and they won't win despite their PG for long. They could probably win with a walk- on most nights.

I agree. The GM who takes Patrick Young in the Top 10 should be fired. Thomas Robinson comes off as an NBA hustle big (e.g Amir Johnson) but his college stats are very, very impressive.

I agree on the rebounding point as well. He doesn't look like he has the fire to go after the rebounds and after 6 years of Bargnani, I'm very careful about choosing bigs that are offensive wizards and do nor rebound well. That said, Barnes is still going to be a hell of a player IMO even though he doesn't have great handles (neither did Rudy Gay) but I think PJ3 could pass him if he shows more tenacity on defense and a hunger for the boards.

Either way, there's still a lot of college ball to be watched.

I think Marquis Teague has been one of the players I've been MOST unimpressed with. Wow, there was so much hype around him just cause he was a John Calipari point guard. He just looks like a chucker to me at this point.

On another note, why is there no ink on Mike Moser on any of the draft sites? That dude is absolutely killing it out there.

And while I'm talking about unranked players, what about Scott Machado? He's leading the nation in assists!

Agreed. Should be interesting when Ryan Harrow suits up for Kentucky next year. If Kendall Marshall wasn't so physically limited I would love him on the Raptors. But I think Tony Wroten Jr., Myck Kabongo and maybe Ryan Harrow are better prospects than Marquis Teague at the point. Teague's decision making is straight garbage.

Also Aaron Craft. I see him as a solid back up point guard too.

It's funny how someone can make such a definite statement regarding GM's on picking two unproven players who have yet to step on the NBA court.
