You guys bashing on DD for being a sensitive sound ten times more sensitive and nothing was actually done to you.

DeMar is upset. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. He keeps it real as he sees it. He feels like he was betrayed by Masai and his dreams came crashing down. It will take him some time to collect himself.

Now he also hasn’t waivered at all about his love for the city, fans or organization. He literally singled out one person he is pissed at. Masai.

It is what it is and I am sure at some point Masai will patch this up as of course all parties will have to move on.

Also, ‘them’ I am sure means the collective group together. Not just Casey. Not just DeMar. It means that mix of players had chances and now you’ve got a top 5 player in to see if it can take it over the top. Masai felt changes had to be made so he made them. I don’t think he was going to dump DD at any offer but the opportunity to land Kawhi couldn’t be missed.

Just saw it. DeMar is a good guy and I wish him all the best.

Still a good trade though. Players of DD’s talent can’t be the top guy on a Finals team. Masai had to find a way to either find a star to play with DD or trade DD for one. This was the right basketball move.

He's going after our team when we need to sign Kawhi. He's specifically taking shots at Masai and stirring issues. It's the organization we cheer for. Anyways, people who think DD took us to where we are now are not real raptor fans because, as another poster said, its disrespectful to all the players who contributed to this team past and present - Lowry, JV, Biz, Patterson, Wright, FVV, Poetl, Siakam, to just name a few.

Umm he was the team leader who was always on the court. Him growing into a star made our team a playoff team. He got us to the playoff alongside Lowry. It him and the managament.. he will get over it. Not discrediting anyone especially not jv and lowry but Demar deserves the benefit of the doubt. Post vince era... was the worst ever and Demar was the biggest reason we got to see that success. You and i dont know what masai told demar. Misunderstanding happens always. They will get over it as time will heal. He has all the reason to be upset. He loved it here. Lets enjoy kawhi now and wish demar luck. If anyone even boos this man i would be embarrassed of our fanbase. Lets be excited for shaq and kobe 2.0 with kawhi and jv loooool. Nick nurse going unleash the beast.

One more thing he is answering questions that are beingasked. He was being real just like masai. I think they both did a good job.

Sad to see the RealGM hive mind turn against DeRozan so viciously. The 13 year olds making the Lebronto memes must have really damaged some of the more emotionally vulnerable members of this board judging by the outlash at DeRozan.

I have been on this board for a decade now and an inordinate amount of time and energy was spent ruing the fact that we could not attract or retain star players in Toronto. We finally get a star player who not only fully embraces the team and city but actually helps us become a good team a winning team and he is **** on when he is shown the door. Meanwhile posters are still dreaming about the corpse of VC signing with the team. The hate and negativity on this board towards Demar is gross.

Also this whole beef between Ujiri and Demar means nothing. The NBA is a small community and all the players are friends/train with each other. You think players aren’t airing grievances amongst themselves? Jordan hated Krause, LBJ hates Gilbert, Thomas hates Ainge this is normal for the NBA and no need to get your panties in a twist cause Demar aired some dirty laundry in public. It will be forgotten in approximately 3 weeks and no one cares except the RealGM F5 Warriors. Go outside and enjoy the weather and look forward to seeing Kawhi in a Raps uniform. Demar should be treated like the GOAT Raptor that he is.

Can we just drop this bloody topic, we need to discuss more on how we matchup defensively & offensively against the east now.

Demar , thanks for the memories & good luck to you, as the Oak, STFU already & go play in San Antonio, that’s what you’re paid to do.

I saw DD interview! Look, I understand he’s upset and I have no problem with him letting his emotions out. After all, he wanted to stay in T.O for his whole carrier and that’s admirable!

But I’m just confused about this whole “heads up” thing. I mean he would had been just as upset a month ago had they told him he’s being shopped! Plus can you imagine if the trade talks don’t yield any result, now you have a disgruntled star that knows he was actively being shopped!

Now let’s say Masai calls DD as soon as the deal is approved by all parties involved which is what ? 24 or 48hrs before it’s announced! Does that really make a difference for DD ? I mean it’s not like he learned about it on the Fan 590. He got a call from Masai at midnight before the deal became public 12+ hrs later. So I’m not too sure what DD expected! I think he was just upset being traded, and it wouldn’t had made a difference whether he’s told a week or 1hr in advance!

This was a lose lose situation for Masai from a PR prospective the minute DD expressed his anger on social media and accused him of lying! And now w/ this interview...it’s worse!

With all that being said, glad he expressed his feelings, I wish him the very best in SA!

Also if we didn’t do the trade, we let him stay with us for the 3 years, would the raptors pay 32 yr old Demar the maximum contract? I don’t think so, this was the best way to parting ways

If KL stays, great for us otherwise we will start the rebuild process earlier than expected; Lowry & Ibaka will be traded next summer & we can move forward with a young core of players

They’re fanatics. If kwahi doesn’t live up to the expectations and get this team to the finals you know how it will go.

I was never a fan of demar..wanted him traded by year 3 or 4. Gained a lot of respect in the 2016 season for the leap he took..teams know where he operated and what he’ll do every time yet can’t stop it it was impressive. I never knew he was that emotional tho guess I never saw his interviews.

He almost seemed stoic on the court yet had a temper. He has a right to be upset I dunno how people can’t see that.
