“We’re in a great place. We’ve got great players. We live in a beautiful part of the country. Kenny’s got two kids, teenagers, who really wanted to stay,” Kerr said. “It’s a really difficult thing to try to take a job in the middle of the Finals without really getting a chance to unwind. I think over the course of the Finals he just felt like this is not the best time for my family and me to leave.”

Kenny in the recent interview again mentioned The Bay area and prep school for his kids. I think he loves it there and doesn't want the stress of change. I am thinking that is the slowness with him.

Interesting to see a guy choose family and lifestyle over ambition. But assistant coach in the NBA is still a good gig.

Masai has managed to completely suck the fun out of this process. To take 2 months is ridiculous.

He's 89 now, coached Memphis almost 20 years ago. And stepped down in early season 2004 due to heart issues, age 69

It really sounds like they're just waiting for Sergio's season to end so that he's not faced with a massive media storm while coaching his team in the Finals.

A year later and he's throwing his name at every open coaching position, so I think that's just Steve Kerr spinning as always. Charlotte cheaped out on his assistants and he started to realize that franchise is a mess.

Why should the interview process to hire a coach be fun for fans?

What an awful trade idea.

Yeah because a team is giving up a top 3 pick for OG

A top 3 pick wasn't said by me but a team was willing to give a top 7 pick just last year and there are still teams in the top 5-10 that will gladly take him now which is MUCH better than that heaping pile of dog turd of role players and meaningless picks you're suggesting which is FAR more laughable

Hold this L.

The Grizzlies are on the brinks of a collapse with their best player facing a long term suspension. Jones is the best back up guard in the league and would amount to a better floor general than FVV.

You don't need to hold the L, you are the L.

I havent closed my windows in about a week now and it feels great. Air conditioning is for heathens.

Might take the porsche out for a spin and grab an overpriced plate of oxtail and eat it on lakeshore.

If you think Im staying inside because of some forest fires in eastern ontario then youre smoking meth. Ill be recovering from the lockdowns for about 2-3 more years.

Also, im from a country without clean drinking water so you can miss me with that.
