Sounds like Shams is doing the Mavs' bidding there.

This has shenanigans written all over it. His recovery is entirely based on whether a team will actually cough up that extension. He's using his availability this year to keep a team from just taking a Kawhi approach to giving the Mavs the best offer.

Us with AD might be the best team in the east aside from NYK. It's a massive gamble because he could easily be hurt for the playoffs. But in terms of fit AD is ELITE for us.

People still wanting to trade for Davis now are like addicted gamblers chasing a jackpot that’ll never hit.

I would do it if they attach assets. That Cooper Flagg fella looks interesting

Davis is like 35 this is not an Ingram type move
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars
Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid
There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Shams has 0 integrity compared to Woj. Reporting on medical rumours is gross. Probably pumped up some gambling circles by saying he was getting surgery.

He's turning 33, and players are showing they can play well at older age with this generation. The issue continues to be the injuries. I think he would still have a good 3 years left at high production if it weren't for that.
Out of all the players suggested I want two way players and Davis is elite at both. I guess he also wouldn't be available for cheap if he wasn't injury prone.

I would much rather have AD even with his injury issues over all the other players available, as long as we don’t extend him

I don’t believe a second Rapsnstill in the AD bidding. You need to have healthy players to get you to the playoffs. If you could just pawn off a few guys and they wouldn’t impact your ability to make the playoffs you wouldn’t be getting back AD.
This is really a team like Atlanta bidding. They can just give Kennard and Porz who is basically not playing. They just got a younger, bigger, cheaper Kennard in Kispert.
Porz, Kennard, filler and a first probably gets the deal done.
This is not the Raps.
It’s going to be Sabonis, LaMelo or Ja. But many teams can still outbid. Miami will have their pick of Ja or LaMelo before we do. Arguably Ja better fit for Heat and LaMelo better fit for us. We could use Sabonis as for the Heat they don’t need him cause they have Bam and Ware

I think Miami will get Ja because they have players with 1 year left on their deals they can trade. We just have long term bloated contracts.

Re: Shams: Raps one of teams to pursue Anthony Davis
If you can get Davis for Yak, IQ, Ochai and a protected 1st, and Yak is looking like he is going to continue to struggle with his back, it might not be the worst idea in the whole though it would be be risky even under those conditions. Perhaps Davis would agree to opt out of his player option and extend on a lower number like 40 million. That would create some flexibility with salaries.
I could see a trade of something like IQ, Marshall to the Bucks, Yak, Kuzma, Portis to the Mavs and AD, Brandon Williams to Raps. Maybe Raps 2027 to Bucks and Bucks unprotected 2032 to Mavs. Maybe Mavs would get both 1sts because Bucks are so desperate though they would be really eating a lot of money. Anyway hopefully we are out of the AD market and Yak comes back healthy.

When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

If he couldn't stay healthy in his 20s and early 30s, he's definitely not going to be healthy in his mid 30s. I don't think he should be lumped in with the Bron/KD/Curry's of the world, who are showing they can play late into their 30s, those guys have the body for it. He does not. With that said, if you were to put a gun to my head, and force me to choose between Ja/AD/Trae, I would still pick AD, at least when he does play, he plays well (and his teams tend to win ) unlike the other two.

He really is very greasy. He also gets involved when it comes to **** disturbing on behalf of players /agents, by spiking rumors that can cause chaos for teams. Woj was an ethical reporter.

I agree with everything you said until that last bit. Woj was super ‘greasy’ but in a different way. He was practically prostituting himself for every scrap of info he could get with how he reported on things. But he was way more accurate at least.
