Nah, Canadians get told all the time, we are too polite, we say sorry too much; even Syrian refugees have a hard time understanding our good nature. We can take insult from people around the world and laugh it off, but when one of our own disrespects us, we're all over that. A Canadian businessman renounces his citizenship to become a British Lord; the man is scum. A Canadian basketball player gives a piss poor excuse for not taking his spot for the Olympic qualifiers; the man is scum. A Canadian media talent makes his success in the US and insults us at every opportunity; the man is scum.

The guy just hates Canada for some reason, period. I've never seen someone so disgusted with where they came from. I'm half Belgian - never been there in my life, and don't really want to live outside of Canada - but I'm proud of my heritage. I would love to know what Canada did to make him hate us so much

Everyone seems to think something must have happened in Canada but I think he became this way after he moved to the US. He probably constantly got teased about being Canadian and it made him completely erase his past. If that did happen, it makes it even worse that the country he's so proud of forced him to give up his roots and become purely American.
