Miami is no longer in control here. We can ask for more and still trade him on Friday or Saturday or anytime before the season or during the season.

I don't have a concept of what the Bulls cap situation is right now or whether or not they see Lauri as part of their future...but if he hasn't been extended yet...there is a chance they are no longer wanting him.

Okpala would make the S&T a little easier to swallow but he’s nothing super special.

And honestly, Dragic is probably worth more on our roster now anyway. The idea for moving him was to get cap space to sign someone for more than an MLE deal but there is no one left on the market worth that.

I'd offer the MLE to Markkanen and maybe throw a second in that we get from the Dragic deal if we need to offer a bit of compensation to the Bulls.

Dragic on an expiring deal, Markkanen, Precious and a first or KZ is much better than we would have done with just the capspace. Plus Dragic can be dealt at the deadline as well or included in a bigger trade as the season progresses.
