I honestly had Jarace falling from how I felt about him earlier based on some clumsy play down the stretch of the season but only a few spots and not to 16 where these guys have GG Jackson and NSJ going before him. Wallace you can argue should go prior. You can also argue about Hendricks and Dick. When you see Max Lewis going before him, something is wrong.

Was thinking size comps and was thinking Mickael Pietrus, but Sidy is an inch taller. To me Sidy's floor is a bigger Mickael Pietrus with passing skills. Whoa, Pietrus was drafted #11 in 2003.

It's the playmaking that intrigues me the most with him

Jarace may fall in workouts as he seems to be a high IQ defender who lacks lateral quickness so 1on1 drills he may struggle at.

It's like watching Scottie Barnes' videos at FSU and Monteverde. I liked Franz Wagner over Scottie before he rose up the mock into the top 5. I think Sidy is showing more than Scottie did against tougher competition.

i'm warming up to Whitehead. He might best self creator behind the arc and not just a catch & shoot, one dribble sidestep (3pt) like Brice.

Dean's approach is unlike other draft blogs. The below paragraph mentions using distance shooting to determine a prospects shooting ability.

Shooting is an extremely important NBA trait, but it is an incredibly volatile and random trait to predict over the long term. It is easy to fall into the trap of looking for the best shooter to draft, but the more efficient method is to look for players who provide the most outside of shooting.

Anyone have any thoughts on Riley Kugel out of Florida? He wasn't super productive as a freshman, but he really showed some flashes. If the goal is to get a self-creation guy who can also shoot, he should at least be in consideration. Not saying that right now I'd take him over shooters like Hawkins, Whitehead, etc. but am certainly intrigued.

I haven't seen too many mocks put him in the 1st round yet, but a few are starting to, and I think he could become a pre-draft riser.

Edit: If people aren't familiar with him, here are highlights of a couple of his better games from this year.

He's going back to Florida next season so he's off the list.

I'm not a fan of where we're drafting at all. Just draft Coulibaly or Sidy and be done with it. Sidy to be safe, or Coulibaly if you want to swing for potential.

As per this paragraph, Whitehead brought almost nothing else to the table. Really drafting him is just belief that his injury impacted his numbers greatly.

Defense-first is the best way to go and the Raptors have had a lot of success in the draft just going after this kind of player. The perceived redundancy isn't a problem when the player is actually good and drives play.

Hadn't seen that, thanks. I imagine he'll rise up in the draft rankings next year.

If we lose in the play-in we'd be in the lottery and won't know until May 16th. If we make the 1st round, it'll depend on the records of all of the other teams in the playoffs, and we also won't know who those teams are until the play-in games for both conferences are done.

I think I may be alone in my love for his game, but I think D'moi Hodge is an NBA player. Takes nothing off the table. Strong shooter, connective passer and very strong defender. Perfect 3&D guard. A little old (24) to spend a draft pick on, but I'd have his agent on speed dial as an UDFA

He's a beast and is going to be an extremely efficient and winning NBA player whether it's as a starter or bench piece.

He deserves a lot more consideration than Beekman to be drafted.

Going to go first round. The WK play this year will help him.
