Amen Thompson is like the perfect companion for him.

Those two together, it’s like watching a couple of wildcats, athleticism off the charts, they look like they’re everywhere. Whitmore’s not too shabby when healthy either. If Thompson develops a shot…very much an if at this point…watch out.

Reminds me of a modern day VC/Tracy but with the opportunity to grow together.

Obviously they probably wont be as good as those guys were but man, the athleticism/intangibles they both bring are very entertaining.

Really disappointing year from Kessler. Thought he could take another step forward but he’s arguably regressed. Minutes are identical to what they were last year too. Solid situational big though.

All this Jalen Green talk and I had no idea they won 11 in a row. Get Fred in the play-in dammit.

What are the Spurs doing? They spent all season making stupid roster decisions to ensure the tank, and then go and win the last three games, putting them in a position to drop from 3rd worst record to potentially the 5th worst record if they win one more.

They are going on an 8 win streak. They want to keep us in the top 6 because this draft is too weak.

Huerter out for the season and Malik Monk 4-6 weeks. Kings are done.

We had like the 6th worst record at the time. We had just as likely a chance as did San Antonio in a year when there was a generational talent...

Atlanta unlikely to get that first from Sacramento this year if the Kings lose in the play in which means Kings will have an asset to shed a Barnes and try to keep Monk.

Waive Brown
Take Barnes into cap space + 14

I’d do that

What are you talking about?

We had a 26-30 record when we traded for Poeltl. And your math is insanely off. San Antonio had a much better chance than we did.

I’d do that

Could Sac even fall out of the play-in ? I guess mathematically, Rockets at #11 are 4 games behind them

The 7th/8th slot was easily within reach if they had sold off at the deadline. On the same date, Portland was 27-28 and they ended up 5th worst. Those slots would've had a 6-10% chance at Wemby vs 14% for SA. For a truly generational player - there is simply no excuse for trading for Poeltl instead of tanking at that point. And now we have to hear apologists talk about how Siakam was never worth much on the market anyway - so why did we hang on to him?

Is Og still out with that sore elbow thing?

Damn. He probably breaking the record on the plus/minus in regards to games played/not played because of a bone spur.

Portland is and was a terrible basketball team. Even they didn’t have the same odds as the Spurs despite being awful down the stretch.

I preferred to tank last year in January/February. With that said I didn’t mind the Poeltl trade before I heard about the light protections. Putting top 6 protections was insane and is Masai’s biggest blunder. It’s limited this team’s options moving forward.

The reality is though, despite there being a generational talent, very few teams decided to tank for him. Spurs and Rockets are the only two teams I can think of that actually wanted to be bad heading into the season.
