I don't know if we have the assets of the Suns have the interest;

But with Gortat, Frye, and Warrick playing a lot of minutes Robin Lopez' role with the Suns seems to be shrinking.

Any interest?

Definitely lots of interest and we have what the Suns covet and that's Expiring contracts which their owner would probably accept in a heart beat since the only thing keeping Phoenix out of the Top5 in the lottery is Steve Nash whose days are probably numbered as well.

Would they bite on Nash+Lopez for Jose+Reggie+Wright ?

if they have any interest in some combination of Weems/Miami pick/Solo/Ajinca/Dorsey/Reggie/Wright, then sure, let's pick him up... otherwise I'd pass, he isn't rebounding particularly well, and his defense isn't so great either.

Yeah I agree,
But if he was then he wouldn't be available.

He was the defensive minded Lopez brother in college so I know he can do it, he just isn't doing it right now and I would sooner opt to take a flyer on a meaty 7' 260lbs young center then another 7' 225 bean pole.

I think they would be more incline to dump Childress then Nash LOL.

Perhaps Mickael Pietrus for Reggie Evans
Then Lopez for Weems, Dorsey and the Miami first

I really want to trade for him (ideally moving out Kleiza in a subsequent deal as well), I think he has some solid potential for us as an athletic SF that can really defend (his 103 DRtg is impressive) and create with the ball, but I'm not sure if Milwaukee would be interested in some combination of our minor assets in the Miami pick/Weems/Dorsey/Alabi/Ajinca/Wright, which is all that's worth giving up for him.

Bargnani/Ajinca?
Amir/Ed
CDR/Wright
DD/Barbosa?
Jose/Bayless

I would take on Childress for Lopez (of course I would like to send Kleiz back). I don't think Childress is being used properly in Phoenix. But then again, I want a true C on our team

I don't think Sac will give up their first and I don't see how Amir fits with Cousins, Landry, Thompson.

Where do I sign?

I wish we got involved in the Orlando deal. 1 player I covetted from them was Pietrus, good defender and can hit the corner 3 when open. Gortat would have been nice as well but he is really over hyped.

I'd do a Lopez and Suns 1st for Amir and our Miami 1st.

(this logistics of the deal would involve separate trades, with each player being absorbed into each team's tpe's... either way)

Amir would kill running the pick & roll will with Nash, and for us giving up the best player in the deal, we get a potential second (late) lottery pick to use on someone like Jan Veseley, Jimmer Fredette, Kawhi Leonard, or any of the current lottery crop that drops on draft day.

Lopez is in the doghouse, he doesnt seem to be able to rebound anymore.

Not mainly based on his boarding but in the PHX system you need to be effective on both ends and I dont think he has what it takes to be a good offensive piece hense putting him next to Andrea.

I agree;
As I said earlier unlike a lot of the fives we have on our roster who have never shown an ability to rebound in their career, Lopez has.

He showed it at Stanford, and she showed a few seasons ago with the Suns.

His offensive game is limited, but certainly better then JuJu or Evans who we have been relying on under the basket this season. He can score on putbacks and he plays under the hoop.

He also doesnt need to throw on 30 lbs like Alexi or Alabi to play the position, he is physically a finished product.

I would do that;
I would take it a step further and entertain a Davis for Lopez + Suns Pick deal.
