Let’s face it, Brown has not been somewhat underwhelming as a Raptor after a solid first game.

I would skip the young player and take expirings + late 2025 1st at this point

No high upside young player is coming back in a trade. Shoot your shot in the draft

"his value to other teams is way higher"
if all that's offered is late first round pick then his value to the raptors is way higher

100%. One of those guys that doesn’t require plays drawn up, but is effective because he’s always on the go. Always creating something for the other 4 guys that might not show up on the stat sheet. Good court vision. Quick as ****. Unselfish. Always bouncing. I love it.

I wish his outside shot was a little more consistent but otherwise, I’d consider him part of the core moving without a doubt.

Surely you've changed your minds now? Trade this guy now preferably.

Shouldn't even play him. Give him the Peja treatment. Play a game in front of the crowd, get them fired up by making some plays, then bye-bye.

Brown doesn't want to be here.

Yup. Should have put him on personal leave after the Insta nonsense.

Show organizational character,, and at the same time put him under glass in a display case.

If a team makes a credible offer you trade him. If they don't he is still a serious asset. He doesn't expire unlike Gary, Paskal, OG, Fred. One way or another we will be making some trades so this one might not be the first since Paskal and certainly not the last. With Poetl and Brown there should be no urgency. Gary I'd flip him in a heartbeat. Let Nwora and Gradey play.

raptors need to lose a lot of games to keep their pick in the draft. brown doesn't seem like the type of guy who will cheer on the tank.

Trade him ASAP, his limitations without jokic creating for him are being exposed, they were exposed on the pacers and now on the Raptors.

He's a role player that fits a certain type of system. Get rid of him.

Yeah move him. We need more darts for the dartboard. We can overpay a guy next year on a 1 year deal to fill a hole or 2 if we want. Look at Lonnie Walker...or Oubre signing 1 year deals at less than 3 million.

With Randle injured, they should get in on Boucher. If they like Precious, Boucher's even better.

Schroder + Boucher for Fournier + Grimes + 2025 MIL 1st round pick

If they mainly need someone to run the offense when Brunson goes to the bench, Schroder's a much better option than Bruce Brown.

If you use Team option, you use lots of cap space for him

I think we need to move him ASAP

We need to accumulate assets and specifically draft capital IMO

Yeah, the way this dude has carried himself since day 1 is anything but professional.
The audacity to come to a team and snag your teammate's jersey # - like YOU'RE FRICKEN BRUCE BROWN, RELAX.
Then the constant trolling on Instagram with posts suggesting he's leaving.

yep, at least JOntay got $10K out of it (should have asked for more knowing Brown was gonna be traded again). It's not like Bruce Brown is making max money (like Jontay's brother). He only got a 2 year deal with team option and sure, if he becomes a FA again because his next team doesn't pick up his option, its not like he's gonna get max money - he's an MLE at best.

He gave him $10k for the jersey.

Established players coming in and asking for their normal number or paying their teammate $$ to get their number is nothing new

Who are we saving the cap for next year? Even if we move him, we should rent out the cap space.

I agree about renting some cap space for draft capital

There is an opportunity cost with keeping Brown

The best value for Brown is right now

The time to trade him is right know

It's good that Randle is only out a few weeks. Knicks will go for it still.

I would try BB = Evan F + Quentin Grimes + 2025 Milwaukee first top 4 protected.
Even if NYK goes star hunting in offseason a $23 mil expire would help that better than Evan.

Return to Toronto Raptors
