Was thinking the same. Ross averaged less than one free throw while he was playing here. That's horrible.

We don't want to see that from Ja'Kobe.

Doesn't that loosely describe RJ 2.0, after he was traded here?

As a guy who can get to the rim, yes, but his outside shooting is still a big question mark.

Agreed, he's missing a consistent outside shot and midrange. The 3pt shooting numbers he put up here are likely not very sustainable.

I think that he's a Raptor/Early Magic Ross as the worst case scenario, which is a really solid return for the 19th pick. I don't know what some here were expecting, but he's an off-ball, movement shooter who is reliant on having others create advantages for him. The SL roster didn't have any such players, hence why all his looks were heavily contested. His most likely outcome is as a 7th/8th man on a good team and there's nothing wrong with that

Let’s be brutally honest, this guy is a bust. He’s two years away from being two years away

I’m sick and tired of watching these idiots draft players that can’t even god damn dribble. I mean come on!! If you can’t create your own shot, you have no business in the damn nba. I can’t even believe we continue to draft clowns that don’t even know how to handle the ball, it’s been a life long raptor brain damage problem

No handles, can’t shoot, disaster

My friend I hope you find the greenest of grass and it give it a good stroke. After that take a deep breath and take in the fact this is a 19th pick in a weak draft. Give these teenagers a chance to develop. You know the franchise did develop low picks into all-stars and all-nba players.

He did.

Just a few quotes:

This guy is not a professional basketball player. He is #8 pick!?!? He cannot shot no matter what his college career stats are saying. No athleticism, no bball IQ but a lots of turnovers. Both his and McDaniels are total waste of the space and should not play in rotation at all. Houser was #30 pick...

Another wasted pick

It amazes me that the kid can’t shoot, 19, 20, 30, a shooter is a shooter. He continues to get wide open looks and can’t hit them in the NBA or G league

Might want to give teenagers more than a few games before coming to conclusions.

Dick wouldn’t see the floor on a good nba team and by the way the way he still can’t shoot, create or defend

What's this "still can't shoot" nonsense. He shot 37% from 3 last year.

It’s like he ignored the last four months of the season. lol.

Ok, he may look like a bust now (and I'm still super disappointed we picked him over Holmes), but lets be honest here. We picked him because he was very young and has POTENTIAL upside. I will say this is usually the mistake most GM's make in the draft, but Masai has often been the exception to the rule, at the draft at least, so I'm not ragging him for this pick (too much).

He's two years away from us finding out if he will amount to anything. Lets give him those two years without constantly attacking him and Masai for picking him.

Well, yeah, a lot of us did. Dick was the bright spot during those dark days.

To be honest, Gradey has been a borderline bust thus far. Even with his improved shooting in the latter half of last season, he remained one of the worst defenders in the league and was still a huge net-negative on the floor.

Not a fan of the argument that because Dick's development worked out in the 2nd half of the season, that Walter's development will somehow also work out. You're arguing off a sample size of 1. It's nonsense.

If there's anything people were right about and should probably reinforce, it's that this draft flat out sucked.

Not a fan of the argument that because Walter played bad in 3 summer games with **** teammates that means he sucks and won’t improve at all throughout his career. You're arguing off a sample size of 3 summer games. It’s nonsense

I guess you and I have different definitions of bust. I do not believe a number 13 pick can be a “bust” after just one season. You apparently do. Some people believe a 57 overall pick can also “bust”

The idea is that we have a good player development program and we should trust it.

JKW had a devin booker play in the 2nd which was nice
landscaped with the dribble in the paint and hit a mid range step back
