Maybe JV will get bench treatment like last year? :D

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

Or maybe, he is playing this way, because it was the best way to play those particular players... He had physical advantage and he used it. Hes been productive, he attempted 34 FG attempts in all of those games, and he shot 34 free throws...
Its funny, because he has been the most efficient and productive player on the team, and not a single positive has been said. What is even going on? Did they expected to see Tim Duncan, all those team people sounds like Jonas is the most flawed player around. I know this happens when you set higher expectations, but what did they expect really?

I assume Sabonis practiced with him and has more awareness, but from different perspective, this does sound very nearsighted. Why would you think Jonas will play like this against stronger players?

Besides, Jonas always was physical player anyway. His style hasn't change. He did looked overly thick headed in the last 2 games, he does need to relax, I agree with that.

Yea, I have no qualms with how he's progressing. We all wanted him to bulk up and that's what he did. You CAN'T look at his old pics and think passing is the first thing he needs to work on. Passing out of double teams is definitely next on the to-do list though, but I like where things are going now. Continue to feed the Beast!

Guys, this is exactly the kind of challenge and adjustments that all good young Cs need in order to eventually reach their potential. This is why so many people always say that Cs take time and why you so often see NBA Cs have some of their best years between the ages of 24-29 in the league.

Think of it this way. He's learning things and encountering hurdles that he would have to eventually at some point but he's doing so on his National Team's time, not ours. This is one of the advantages that comes from his involvement there and his relationship with a guy like Sabonis. This experience and these lessons that Sabonis is giving him are going to help him and us in the end.

It's always easier in basketball when opponents haven't scouted your big too much and aren't overly concerned with what he's doing. It's when they are concerned and scheming to stop him that you know he's arrived and the adjustments that players make in these situations are what separate the big boys from the wannabees. Jonas is a smart kid that loves this game. He'll adjust to increased defensive attention better than most.

JV playing well on the defensive end, 4/6 FTs and fumbling passes on the offensive end.

Pocius throwing Shved like a rag doll, guy hasn't gained any strength, even though Pocius is well built.

Did he get cut or left on his own will? If the latter, why would he leave? Personal reasons?

#6 is definitely going to get cut. And that young Cizkauskas guy doesn't look like he can handle PG duty either. Would feel more comfortable w/ Seibutis or Pocius dribbling.

Jonas looks good today and overall. I kinda dislike our coach bitching about how bad many things go. Too pesimistic.
But maybe he is trying to motivate players to work harder with that, not sure.
