Old guy: You have to stand 2 meters behind everyone.
Young guy: So I'm 1.5 meters apart
Young guy: He doesn't seem to mind
Old guy: It's the law now, you have to social distance. Idiot!
Young guy: You shut the **** up!
Young guy: So the whole world is going to die because I'm standing 1.5 meters behind
Old guy: You want me to call the police on you?
Young guy: Go ahead, seems like you care about it way more than this guy
Old guy: Goddamn idiot
Young guy: I hope you get the virus and die as*hole

At this point lots of shouting and staff came around to see what was going on to calm everyone down.

I'm wondering why didn't you say anything.

Which part? About the guy standing too close to me or to calm everything down. The young guy was fine until the old guy called him an idiot. At that point it spiraled out of control. Just both guys beaking at each other back and forth nothing anyone can do. People locked up at home making everyone a little nuts these days.

Also anyone see the bozo goof in Quebec wanting to close food stores on Sunday and reducing hours the rest of the week?

That's absolutely mental and backwards - You want social distancing but that's archiving the opposite.

By cutting hours you are encouraging larger crowds - All food stores should be open 24/7 IMO less crowds and people would actually go late because they aren't doing anything anyways.

Read about the LCBO closing on Monday's - Again stupid IMO - Bob the alcoholic who usually goes on Monday's only will now proceed to go on another day of the week.

I'm surprise media doesn't challenge this stuff.

I don't know if staffs want to work. Meanwhile, I believe reducing the hours are to have more time sanitizing products.

I do find it inconvenience, particularly I only buy enough for a week or two, but my family drank 2 bottle of lactose, which is now limited to 1, which makes me go to the supermarket twice a week instead. Hope they can think of a better way, since it may take another two months to see some numbers drop.

Brutal. When I started taking them before a trip I thought Malaria might be preferable. I just crossed off one stop from the trip instead and quit them.

Personally, I think the young guy does sound like an idiot. Just be respectful to your elders who also actually do have more reason to be on edge right now and try to de-escalate a situation.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Yeah he could've easily just took a step back to de-escalate the situation. It all happened really quick.

I got a question... What good does a mask or face covering do if you are breathing in the same air that may have the Coronavirus through the mask/covering ?

the mask is there in case someone sneezes and you end up inhaling/swallowing those droplets, or it goes in your eye.

eye protection should be worn too i guess.

i have masks but i find it to be unnecessary if I'm staying 30 feet away from people, and running for the hills as soon as someone sneezes.

Depends on how small the droplet is. If somebody coughs, the droplets coming from their mouth may be large enough to get caught on the outside of the mask. If it's so finely aerosolized that it can pass right through the mask filter, than nothing. I believe N95 masks should be able to filter out these aerorsolized droplets though.

It's not like it's going to be hanging in the air minutes after the sick person is gone. It's likely to drop pretty quickly. That's why touching surfaces is more likely the way it's going to spread assuming you are not within a couple feet of a contagious person.

Masks alone function for other people. Since many may be sick without knowing yet, if everyone wore masks and kept their distance it function as better protection for everyone. In Korea for example people with colds frequently wear masks when they go out even before this. Since there is a shortage of medical masks, the US is considering suggesting everyone wear masks made at home as well as physical distancing.
