Would love to get Gafford on this team. I think he's underrated

Thomas Bryant gives me the Andrew Bynum vibes and not in a good way id pass on that.

Is the covid scenario making teams hold off on moves? I thought there'd be something after that Dec 15 deadline, nothing so far.

It absolutely is. So many player going in and out of Covid protocol. Trades are the last thing front offices are worried about right now.

On the other hand, Dragic might never be more valuable as he is right now

its tough for teams in the or around the playin. depending on how the wind shifts with covid protocols, team can be knocked in or out. i can see teams who are desperate to make the playoffs like sac and min to make trades to help keep them in the hunt.
teams like the raps can wait to see how jan goes before making a decision.

Minnesota's first rounder top 12 protected for Boucher.

Helps them get another guy they feel can contribute to a playoff push

A man can hope right? :lol:

There's a big difference regarding athletics between a partially torn ACL, and a partially dislocated kneecap which can cause all kinds of tracking issues and imbalances. That injury destroyed Bynum's career.

Personality is a big factor too. Bynum was hyped as "Baby Shaq", a high school lottery pick. Bryant on the other hand was a 2nd rounder.

Then add in development, as improved as he became over who he was on the Lakers, TB has been on a Washington team that doesn't prioritize defense - if he can use his tools effectively on that end, that's a hell of a player.

At 24, I don't think the jury is out on Thomas Bryant, and feel like he would reach another level here. If the Raptors can buy low on him on account of his injury and expiring status, I'd love to see it.

Hawks just paid Collins. They’re not going to be interested in Siakam who’s plays the same position.

This could be interesting if Orlando adds either of Suggs or Anthony instead of Fultz. Otherwise it is a major loss for Toronto. If Suggs is added and Boucher is pulled it would work under cap.

I suspect Gafford is the long term plan;
Bryant is likely gone as he is a UFA and the Wiz will only have his early bird rights and as Harrell is a UFA as well they become thin fairly quickly upfront.

Curious as to who you feel is the valuable piece on Orlando that justifies OG's inclusion?;

Fultz given his contract and the recovery from an MCL is concerning and while Isaac is a nice piece the fact that he hasn't played in a while and the last major update on his knee was months ago that is at least a little concerning to me.

Bamba is fine but I expect he is going to end up with a putrid contract this summer on the back of his 10/9 in around 30MPG which I am not entirely opposed to but having to take on the above two deals and lose OG makes this one tough for me.

I think the play in will limit pre-deadline movement.
25 of 30 NBA teams are either in the playoff / play in or within 2 games of it.

I suspect as more teams fall out of the mix we may see something start around that January 15th date but I feel this will be a quiet season for in season trades.

I had a weird dream last night. The NBA teams were rock bands. Pascal was the bass player for the Raptors. The producer for the Boston Celtics (who were Aerosmith in the dream - I must have remembered that Aerosmith were originally from Boston) wanted to bring in Pascal for a particular song they were recording because the regular Celtics/Aerosmith bassist couldn't do slapping style and Pascal could.

That was pretty much it. Is it premonition that the Cs want to trade one of the Js for Pascal? We'll see.

Boston media, especially Simmons crap on Pascal constantly because he struggled in the bubble. The shambles would be crazy over on the Boston board if they traded one of the Js for him. And as much as I would want to jump at a Pascal for Brown trade which would be amazing, I don’t want to send Pascal to the Celtics. I’d feel bad sending him to that market, things could go horribly for him there. I’d like for him to end up in a nice loving stable environment. Lol.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….
