his flaws are obvious but it doesn't really matter. it's how much other teams want him to fill their needs and deires. it's supply and demand and it appears he's highly coveted. get that bidding war going.

OG's current trade value is related to other current available players, age, contract status, high amount of teams in playoff picture. It's inflated probably because of that. I'd assume most trades would include informal extension talks. Don't care about official rules, I'm talking real world talks.

Career 37% 3pt on decent volume. So yeah, he’s pretty consistent.

He’s more valuable than Smart (an undeserving DPOY imo). If any team has a hole at 2-4 he can fill it. Can guard all 5 positions. Smart can guard almost anyone but you wouldn’t bring him in as anything other than a 1/2.

I think OG’s value is that everyone knows he can be in a closing playoff lineup at the highest level. And there are a bunch of teams that might think if they add him they can win a title. High level role player + log jam of good teams looking for final piece = perfect storm of value for OG.

Marcus smart is the heartbeat of that team. It would take a kings ransom for the Celtics to deal him. Value isnt all judged externally

OG is valuable because:

1) He's 25
2) He's signed for only 17M and 18M this year and next
3) He's a DPOY candidate
4) He's one of the few players in the league who can legitimately defend 1-5 and he's one of the best at guarding elite wings, which is kind of important for contenders.
5) He's a career 37% 3pt shooter on good volume
6) He's a plug and play player who would start for every team in the league

The clip was the single tweet from a random person who typed out what you then decided you saw. There's no way to actually read his lips from the side and know anything at all about what he said. And it was from a game on Jan 2nd or something.

A bidding war for OG going on behind the scenes is good for us anyways....Feel he wants out regardless when hes a free agent so lets just max out what we can get for him now....Pelicans package is looking pretty sweet....Give me a few of them draft picks, Murphy, Herb and ill be happy

Only real knock on him is his ability to pick up the strangest injuries.
