I'm starting to drink the Tre Johnson Kool-aid. Having a guy who's a bucket is something this team has needed for a while.

Its between Fears/Tre/Queen for me....if we end up 7 or 8 we can just pick whichever one falls to us....But if we move back in the lotto Kon and Maluach would prolly be the pick which i would not be too happy about.

So Paolo Banchero went #1 and is putting up 26ppg BUT he's only shooting 45/32/73. That just seems pedestrian.

I guess Flagg will be doing that but shoot FT's better and have much better defense with more steals and blocks.

Oooooo, vs Houston Flagg had 2 steals and 3 blocks with ONLY 1 foul and that foul was the BS one at the end to give Houston the game.

Going into the lottery with the 7th best odds is right along where I thought we'd be before the season started. Winning 30ish games was the right call. Now if we stay 7th post lottery or move down, these are the players that would be in our range to draft.

Jeremiah Fears - PG
Kon Knueppel - SG/SF
Khaman Maluach - C
Kasparas Jakucionis - PG/SG
Asa Newell - PF/C
Jase Richardson - PG/SG
Collin Murray-Boyles - PF

At the end of the day we should be taking the best talent available, regardless of position.

If we stay at 7...for me there are a top 4 in Flagg/Harper/Bailey/Edgecombe and then another 3 in Tre/Fears/Queen....I think in terms of talent/Upside for me them should be the top 7....If we move to 8-9 you have CMB/Maluach/Kon to choose from...

I've come around on Fears. Gamble on the kid. He should be putting up tonnes of 3's up from now until the shooting drills at the combine.

I wonder if the better comparison for Banchero is Queen. They have similar stats, but I think Banchero would be a better defender.
Flagg should be another tier.

Not to mention freethrow his shooting. What is wrong RJ? Who hurt you? It looks like a traumatic experience every time he steps to the line.

People said the same thing for VanVleet, then Siakam, now Barrett. Because he is not a good fit for a very flawed near max player. Would not be surprised people said the same thing for Ingram next year.
RJ wasn't a good fit on the Knicks starting lineup either, he's a bad fit on almost all starting lineups across the NBA, with or without Scottie. His ideal role is as a 6th man, no shame in that, still a useful player, but he cannot be mentioned in the same breath as a Siakam, or even FVV, who was a top 5 player in a team that won it all.

Basically I see people saying the same thing to Siakam last year before the trade. Same for VanVleet, ideal role is as a 6th man.
Personally, I don't see why Barrett isn't better than VanVleet on his last few years when he was slower and cannot defend the point of attack, maybe people can elaborate.

my guess is that you didn't factor in all the crazy injuries and then going tank with g-leaguers for the final 3rd of the season.
