Woah woah. His girlfriend works for Knicks management?

Yeah, I also saw David Lee smile a couple of times at the Raptors' bench. Something is definitely going on.

...

You know how people say we can do worse? I beg to differ; we can't do any worse. I'd rather let Bosh walk and save the money, than do this trade and become an even worse defensive team than this year. Good God. What is wrong with you people? Do you realize that there's another side to basketball? You do not just look at individual players and say... oh he can put up 24 points and rebound, while the other guy can shoot 3's, so you stick them on a this team, and the team becomes a better! That's not how building a team works, even if that is how BC has been doing it so far.

That's just dumb because you can easily get something for Lee on the trade market.

You'd have to flip Lee over to another team. I wonder if Memphis would have any interest? What incentive would they need to send Conley/Thabeet for Lee +?

And you honestly think BC would trade for Lee and then trade him away? If the Raptors make this trade, those players are staying.

What are we going for... the All-White team.

I'm a white guy, but I think it's safe to say that an All-White team, or majority white team would lose a lot of games in the NBA!

Gallo talks a lot of junk on the court. I just can't tell if he's actually talking to anyone else.

Jack/Calderon/Banks
Derozan/Henry (#12)/Belinelli
Gallo/Weems
Lee/Evans
Bargnani/Johnson/Curry

thats a good young rebuilding team. Add a top pick in 2011 hopefully (Knight?) and you have a very solid team.

Another thing. Boshs girlfriend works for the Knicks management so that could be a factor in him going there and im sure he wont care if Gallo is there or not.

Do you have a source that says she works for Knicks?

Not necessarily if he's just taking it because Bosh wants to go to NY and nowhere else and this is the best he can get. Either way staying or traded on Lee is better than nothing (which you preferred) even if he's just a stat padder. I think you could get a pick + expiring for him.

Lee is a blackhole and Gallo's a chucker. Both aren't playing defense.

Gallinari's TS% is 57.5 and Lee's is even better. That's around Bosh level efficiency.

i swear. How can anyone hate this? You get rid of Turk, get Gallo whos better on both ends of the floor, Lee will be better at PF defensively. That means wed be a better defensive team.

Jack
Derozan
Gallo
Lee
Bargnani

Lee is nowhere near Bosh defensively. Bosh may get a lot of hate on the internet for his D, but that doesn't reflect reality. Lee really is terrible defensively. As far as assets go, that might be the best the Raps can do. Which sucks.

Not sure if it's been said yet but I noticed Lee being not only chummy with Bargnani but VERY FRIENDLY in general like he's quite confident and hoping he'll be a raptor next year or just REALLY hoping.

On an early inbound pass Jay was standing quite closed to him and he smiled and pretended to elbow him out of the way and Jay laughed then the Bargnani thing there was a few more moments besides that during the game + Leo throwing in "I'd take him on my team"

I noticed that too... It must be that his agent did have some discussion with BC and now is a matter a time.

If we get rid of Hedo it will be huge for us - might be the best deal we can get out of CB4 S&t since I don't know other team that would absorb him & CB.

Ideally CB+Hedo+JC for anybody that is tradable or expires and I'd be happy.

It could also be a 3 team deal where we end up with Lee, who knows...

So we couldnt get to the playoffs with possibly the best offensive PF in the game and then bring in a lesser quality PF with an even worst defense....

You guys have lost your minds. If Bosh is gone then Lee and Gallo is the most you will ever get. I was under the impression the Raptors would probably just get Lee back.

Lee is a bad defender but he's a 20 point 12 rebound 4 assist player on 54% shooting. Put him on a winning team and he's stats probably drop to 18 points and 10-11 rebounds, but his shooting could go even higher. At the center position he's an awful defender. At the power forward position he's just bad. You'd have to get a defensive center to cover that up, but that needed to be done with Bargs anyway. At least with Lee you have a chance at being a good rebounding team.

Gallo is going be a good player. He's one of the best 3 point shooters and his % will soar on a better team. He's only 21! His defense isn't as bad as some of you think. He's okay.

I say rebuild time. Package Hedo with Bosh for Lee and Gallo and I guess Curry too.

Jack / Calderon
DeMar / Beli
Gallo / Weems
Lee / Amir
Bargs / Whiteside (#12 pick)

Nice young team. Gallo and DeMar are a perfect combo for the future since DeMar can't really shoot the 3. Although I guess this really only works if DeMar develops better ball handling and passing :-? or you get a really good point guard.

A year down the road you a young team with a ton of studs, you'll have a ton of cap room. You'll have another lottery pick and you can move Bargs if his rebounding is still killing you, or you can move Lee if Bargs can start rebounding. In the 2011 off season you'll have money and a lot of nice young peices. Even if Lee isn't working out you can move him. For 10-12 million someone will gladly take a 20/12 player. Whatever team Lebron is on would want him for sure.
