Joking or not, I get the impression that Bargs knows he has worn out his welcome in T.O. There's been to many "jokes" recently as far as I can see.

And I agree with those saying that if Carter/Bosh made similar jokes, these same people would be on their ass about it. It's pathetic how they change their tune when it comes to Bargs. I'm pretty sure I know why but that's a topic for another day.

Good to see Bargs in a lighter mood though.

I'm one of Bargs' biggest haters, but there's nothing wrong with that quote. One, it's hilarious. Two, I don't think that it suggests anything about his mindset, as Harry said...you can be a ferocious competitor and still be able to crack jokes like that. Bargs isn't that sort of competitor, by all indications, but he wouldn't be any more of one were he stripped of a sense of humour.

Not for the first time, I've been given a glimpse of a potential future in here: with myself going from being one of Bargs' biggest critics to one of his defenders, just by standing still.

Same thing happened with VC and to a lesser extent Bosh.

Not impossible. She's caught my eye for a while. Reminds me of that brief period when Denise Richards was super hot. Did he answer, do you remember?

Edit: thanks, man.

I understand that if you were playing on the Raptors last year, and entrenched in a 13 game losing streak, you may be down and your confidence is argueably at an all-time low as a pro.

But as a fan of the team, the last thing I want to hear is ANY player on our squad telling us (paraphasing) "well, here we go, time to go out and lose another game". Even if their chances of winning are slim, or they are thinking that inside (hopefully not) I don't want to hear about it!

This discussion reminds me a Bazooka bubble joke I have read 30 years ago !
One boy say to his friend : 'We lost 13 games in a row'
His friend answers: ' You can't win them all !'
"But the thing is, maybe I do want to wake up one morning and say, `Baby, let's go to the Bahamas. Today.' That costs money. So what if I want to do that?

I doubt it, but I love that term, and my girlfriend officially no longer has a say in what the act is called.

Btw, a little reminder for those who forgot my posting style (I haven't posted alot this past 6+ months).
I am not a Bargs hater. I want what's best for this team (I am not suggesting that means Bargs doesn't fit here) and my loyalities will always be with the name on the front of the jersey first.

Some people can be so one-sided in their thinking its unbelievable and frankly sad. I hope some of you can become more mature mentally so you can realize the different perspectives and possibilities of a situation.

I'm not saying Bargs has the winning mentality we need, but at the same time a simple comment in a light/funny interview is nowwhere near enough proof to show a guy doesn't care about winning. You honestly think Bargnani was thinking that "at least he looks cool" even though he's going to lose the upcoming game?

Nice debate on pasta though

Andrea Bargnani is an absolute joke.

That's what I think about his game (not so much offense) and that's what I thought when reading that interview.

Please, save you craps for stats, but don't touch pasta recipes.

I know exactly how to make an authentic amatriciana sauce, and I know exactly what the pasta:sauce ratios are like compared to here in North America. It's amazing: we North Americans have access to both the internet and movable type, and most of us know how to read. Therefore, because I love to cook and Italian food is one of my preferred culinary tastes, I am quite familiar with all the major sauces for pasta - and I make my own pasta at home as well - and how they're traditionally prepared and served. I've made them all at home many times: bolognese, marinara, amatriciana, putanesca, pesto, pomodoro, arrabbiata, carbonara - as well as many others of my own creation, including caribbean-styled coconut milk reduction sauces, and several based on béchamel for various chicken servings. If you want to come over here and do an episode of Iron Chef: RealGM Edition, get over here and let's see what you can do.

I'm not even a culinary professional (I know there are a few on this board), and the knowledge of what pasta is supposed to be like is well-known to me. There's no excuse from a guy who grew up in Rome to not have a basic idea as to how to pasta can be served.

Please have us over for a BBQ.
