Millsap is a good player on a good contract but he doesn't make sense when we already have Amir plus need minutes for Ed Davis.

I don't think Hayward is enough to move from #5 to #12 but it's close. Maybe Hayward and the right to swap 1st's with Utah next year

If we could get Biyombo and Leonard
(again with the 8 and 12 idea )

Wow would our defense look different with a Biyombo Davis Leonard front court
and a Defensive minded coach like Casey... J-roc might get his top 10 defense after all ;)

I definitely don't think the Jazz give up Hayward AND their pick next year to move up 7 spots in this draft.

I tend to agree, that's why I said take it and run. But who knows how much they love Knight.

this sounds more plausible. Kanter going third and Knight dropping to raptors at five. no trade necessary. latest mock on usa today. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketba ... ft-5_N.htm

I would be interested in a 2012 pick from Utah. Not much excites me other than that.

Even if Detroit wouldn't bite on Millsap I would think that between buck, bobcats, kings one of those teams would jump at the chance to get him.

If Utah is serious about wanting both guys (and if I was them I would be too) then this could have legs.

Would all depend on Utah being willing to give up something of quality like a millsap or jefferson and finding a third team that wants that player.

With regards to Vals buyout, from what you posted Darth, I think it would be the percentage of the contract he pays that's on the sliding scale. Like, the lower the contrac the higher the percentage, but same money going to Ryutas. The only thing is if they need to have a deal worked out in paper to give teams confidence to use a high pick on him. If His team wants to get paid, it would be in their interest to play along, so amybe that's why there's some built in incentive in the buyout talks so that Vals current team benifets from there not being any doubts about the buyout.

Millsap would be great at $7mill a year. After that, I'd look to trade Amir Johnson for a wing or point guard.

again the size of his buyout will fluctuate depending on his draft position... This is not a new concept in buyouts

If I'm Milwaukee I'd be ALL OVER Millsapp.

They will have to make a choice at 3. They seem undecided between Kanter and Knight, hopefully they will go with Kanter.

This isn't even a rumor; the guy is simply stating that certain people within the Jazz would like to acquire both Kanter and Knight (with Toronto being the only trade option). Who the **** wouldn't want both? Put simply: not happening.

I would do an Al Jefferson and 12th for Bargnani, Linas, and the 5th pick. Trade 2 bad contracts for 1. want to stretch more? Add Devin Harris and Jose Calderon in the mix.

I might do it for the 2012 GS pick they got in the Deron trade plus the 12th pick. The GS pick is top 7 protected. Might be too rich for the Jazz tho.

This trade makes a lot of sense for the Jazz. With 3 and 5, they can really influence the outcome of the draft. Right now Irving or DWill are gone 1 and 2. The Jazz, can take Kanter at 3 and know that Knight will fall to 5 knowing that the Cavs won't take KNight at 4.

From Toronto's perspective, this is a tough one. Our biggest needs are at the 1, 3, 5. I'm personally pretty happy at the 1 with Bayless and Calderon. Harris would not be a significant upgrade. Definitely no to Hayward. I highly doubt we get Favors. Therefore the likely pieces are AJ or Milsap.

The drop from 5 to 12 is pretty significant, so if I'm the Raps I milk them pretty hard.

Something like Harris, Milsap and 12 for 5, Calderon and Kleiza.

If the Bismack rumours are true, at 12 I would be happy with him.

I would than flip Amir and Alabi for Beasley since the Wolves are probably grabbing DWill at 2.

Harris - Bayless
Derozan - Barbosa
Beasley - James Johnson -
Paul Milsap - Ed Davis
Andrea Bargnani - Bismack Biyombo

Hopefully by surround Bargs with 3 strong rebounders it will hide his weaknesses.
