Well right now I'm riding the MKG bandwagon, but honestly that could change if Q. Miller ever gets out of park and into first and second gear. My current short list is

Jeremy Lamb
MKG
------------
Andre Drummond
Q. Miller

Bottom two have to prove certain aspects of their game while the above two have proven their worth. It just so happens that the bottom two have the potential to take us where we want to be a bit faster if they can develop the right way.

Barnes is ice cold out there. He can't hit anything.

Texas seems a little bit overwhelmed out there too many turnovers the pace is too fast. I guess the plan is to out run them.

huh? he finished with 26 on 60% shooting. to go along with 10 boards, 2 steals, a block and a dime.

barnes over gilchrist for me still. gilchrist is basically a young corey brewer. not feeling his game at all.

IMO, id love to build inside out...you can always pick up wing scoring in FA or trades, but if you can get a guy like Drummond or Davis to man the paint with JV for years to come you snag him without any hesitation...if not then im still pretty high on barnes or MKG

Man Barnes has the talent to be a star, I wonder if he will put it all together.

I think we also need to focus on second round candidates because we are likely to have a second round selection close to the top (#30). In a deep draft, that might be an especially useful pick.

I know, me too. He was shooting terrible to start the first half and then the Raptors game started.

I guess he got warmed up.

Yea look at what i wrote on my sig, we really need a point guard so maybe Craft can be a good back up. Dude plays hard nose defense and plays a decent point guard game.

I think the comparisons of MKG to Pippen need to chill out a tad cuz I think people misunderstanding the comparison. He's getting that because he's an excellent defender that can still score relatively well unlike say a Tony Allen. BUT let's not forget (for those old enough) that Scottie was much longer, quicker and easily a better athlete...that all makes a big difference.

Still like the guy (definitely over Barnes) but I think he needs to be kept in perspective.

Which is why he is compared to him rather then declared better then him.... comparisons are just for fun bro

LOL I know...despite the rumor; internet is not serious business.

Its just if your read through this thread there is some perspective needed as some are saying if he's like 4cottie "well he was one of the top 50 all-time" and "Scottie lead the Bulls to 55 wins"....and yes Pippen did do those things but let's not build up MKG there cuz with most comparisons ppl either think player is or can be at that level --- I'm sorry to say so definitely but Gilchrist will not be the next Pippen for the reasons I stated. Doesn't mean he won't be a stud...cuz I think he may reach Iggy/Granger status but he just doesn't scream true elite to me; but I do love his desire to win.

Always said I would love him with a 2nd pick (ie/ for EDavis) and with his work ethic he's making me drool at that prospect more BUT our pick needs to be to at least attempt to find a franchise player. Loading the roster with a bunch of "solid" players equals Atlanta Hawks 2.0 (and I'll motherf*cking pass lol)

If we get #1, I say grab Anthony Davis; the guy looks like he can be a top 10 PF in the league. We can also trade him or Ed/Bargnani for another piece. If no #1 pick, MKG or Harrison Barnes for me; either one will make me happy.

Yup, glad I never jumped off the Barnes bandwagon, the kid has the highest floor of any prospect in the top 5.

I guess the flash of guys like Miller has blinded some fans. Barnes looks like a stud that can defend, shoot and rebound. Prototypical SF, not like the other tweeners littered throughout the draft.

No way Barnes has a higher floor than Anthony Davis or Perry Jones III. With Anthony Davis and Perry Jones III, you've got both guys who are outstanding on one end of the court and above-average on the other end respectively. Barnes does nothing spectacular on both ends. He's a money shooter spotting up, but can't take advantage of that shooting prowess to shoot off the dribble. The Raptors need a prospect who can create for themselves and their teammates while defend and rebound and Barnes isn't that.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth
