But then how would we afford Durant?
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Butch back on the same drug he was taking when he sued Camby.

Lebron might come here for 1-2 seasons near the end of his line, if we are a good championship contender, to ring up some more titles to rub in Jordan's face.

That's probably a good ten years away for him. Frig he is only 29 now.

Anyways I hope he does sign here like Butch said. Because we could probably trade him for a first round draft pick. Plus the team would lose lots of games without Lebron.

And he'd have to pay tax twice on all of it.

True, but his Robin's knees may fall apart soon.

How much more elite level basketball can D-Wade's knees take? He hardly plays in back-2-back games anymore.

If I was LBJ, I wouldn't feel too comfortable staying in Miami for a few more years and expect a few more rings. If D-Wade isn't D-Wade, they aren't winning anything.

Well fancy that....

Take me off the tank bandwagon then, because Lebron is coming here in 2014!

Florida is basically a Canadian province anyway. Lebron will feel right at home in Toronto

I always thought LBJ might be egotistical enough to do something like this. Maybe on a short term deal.

State that he'll bring a championship to the country of Canada. Do it just to prove that he can.

Is it likely....no. But I wouldn't completely dismiss it.

Lebron is not coming here. Forget all that talk. Lebron has said a couple of times he will never play in a cold weather city again. He said it recently a couple of months back. If he does leave Miami, it would be LA, and that is about it. I think he stays in Miami.

The only reason to leave Miami is to go home, doubt he leaves to come to the Raptors.

Also, he's already regarded as one of the top players of all-time or on that path, why wouldn't he want to keep winning titles in MIami and maybe surpass Jordan?

Because of the way he won his titles (ie by purposefully forming a superteam) there will always be an asterisk beside them. If he goes back to Cleveland and wins a title there, then he's cemented his legacy.

“I miss the slower pace back home but have grown used to my new city's little perks like fresh fish and sweet fruit,” LeBron told Men's Week, speaking about a retirement destination. “It will definitely be someplace warm. I don't want to go back to cold winters.”

lol lebron isnt going to toronto or cleveland.. why would he? His fiance already settled in with her business in miami.. that would just ruin that whole setup. Top of that, his best friend is with him and he is arguable one of the best sg's of all time. They won 2 in a row.. maybe if they lose this year.. he will probably reconsider... but he most likely will not leave miami.. Also why would he come to toronto? aha.. does he think bosh will come along with him..? i think not.

Thanks for this man. This was one of the quotes i was talking about. He is not coming here so this topic is irrelevant.

He'd have to o win at least 9 titles in Miami to pass Jordan from a team/winning standpoint. He joined another superstarsq team along with a perennial all star in bosh with other games

Return to Toronto Raptors
