I think if Washington sees the Nets tank tonight they will tank their game tomorrow against
Boston as they hold the tie breaker over Charlotte iirc

I think Washington would rather want to play us as well lol

I vote for us to lose against the Knicks.

If I was Casey I would play it like I'm not going to rest our starters then look at the scores at the half and then make a decision.

But we should probably lose against the Knicks.

Nets aren't winning anymore games this season

I think it's just the trashy American media making more out of it than it is. Those teams aren't lining up to play the Raptors or Bobcats. There are too many variables that make the match-ups too difficult to predict. They're old teams that are taking the rest where they can get it.

I thought the Bobcats own the tie breaker

Nope, Bobcats own the tiebreaker with the Wiz. Wiz want to avoid the Heat. See scenarios listed above.

The Heat and the Nets are very smart to position themselves for seeding and matchups, I know we used to position ouselves as well while playing in leagues..after playing against teams for quite a few times you would know which teams would be favourable that is how we we got into the finals..is by matching up with teams with the least resistance and guess what it worked!!

As for the Raptors I highly doubt that they're even smart enough to think like this, I bet they just want to win every game and let the chips fall where they may, very bad strategy imo.
Masai's to do list

I just hope we don't end up with Brooklyn and then Miami. I'll take anything over that.

Jason Kidd was playing basketball just last season. Lol

He's played the raps before in the playoffs.

He wants the Raps and will tank the last two games.

Hopefully the Knicks don't come out to play also lol

Does it matter what round we play any of these teams in?
If we can't beat them in round 1, we wouldn't be able to beat them in round 2 either.
We'll get the info we need regardless.

That's one tough pickney!

It's impossible to control what the playoff positioning is going to be. But if we rest players and lose to the Knicks (who, with or without Melo, seem to be trying to salvage some pride from the season), here's what WILL happen.

1. We'll have rested players going into the playoffs.

2. We'll have a better draft pick. I believe the range is between #19 and #23.

Govern yourselves accordingly, Raptor management.

We wouldn't play them in round two unless they win, we would like be against miami or indiana.

dont care who we play anymore but the lack of respect is quite upsetting. Im a little upset cause deep down i know that the lack of respect is justified and im afraid we dont have the means to pull off wins here. Even against the wizards, a series win is still not guaranteed.

raptors have to go in these playoffs with a **** the world mentality and take care of business

Win a damn series against them and start gaining some respect.

It's all about WINS. Winning = Respect.

Otherwise, same old story.

+100000

Bring'em on. Our team shouldn't care who they face, try and make a statement.

I say we don't sit our starters, but don't play them more than 30 minutes.

It would be amazing to see the NBA front office in shambles if the ECF ended up being Raptors Vs Heat (via charlotte, brooklyn/chicago).

It would kill there beloved tv ratings and the match-up they want.

The last thing the networks want is to air the Raptors.

I think the Nets should worry about playing basketball unlike a bunch of retired fossils at the Y. Heat most likely are not worried about anyone other than themselves.

But ya, wanting the Raps is probably on the tops of most list for 1st round matchups. We are young, we do not get favorable whistles, and we are a team from Canada that the NBA most likely prefers to not get past the 1st round.

Let's sign petition to let Lowry rest, but this Casey guy is crazy, I'm vastly worried about him playing him in Knicks matchup, the fatty is our only hope at winning some playoff games, can't afford to play him any mins on Wed. And I cringed like crazy in last night's game whenever Lowry drives to the hoop, it's that scary.
