You would think after years of seeing players claim they are fine after this happens and then having to miss 2 weeks because they were stupid enough to put them back in they would learn. This injury always hurts way more the next day unless you very quickly get ice on it and then stay off it for a couple days. Pisses me off!

I'm not an expert in this field. But according to someone on here the other day, this is why:

I don't think this is proven and it's going to be hard to convince me that any severe injury should be ignored and competitive sports should be continued directly after even though you then sit out for weeks after. Plus. if this method is only 2 years old why has it been happening much longer than this?

I really have been watching this type of thing for quite a while now with an open mind and a keen eye and I just don't believe it. I know what happened to me and it seemed like a really perfect example of both results. Too bad this is almost impossible to test scientifically due to it being impossible to quantify the severity.

I don't think that article is saying continue competitive activity. It's just saying move it around along with elevation, which would go against compression and simply elevating (if you're elevating I'm assuming this is contributing to the immobilization of the injury).

I know the article doesn't say that but that is what the trainers are doing.

Yeah, I thought maybe you were referring only to that. I wasn't sure if we were sort of blending the treatment of Johnson and that article or whether we were just talking about one or the other haha.

Ross had better bring his S&P AAA+ rated game because I don't see anyone on MEM's roster Fields should be playing extended minutes against. Everyone knows he's got one arm so, they're just going to leave him on defense to double elsewhere. I'd rather Caboclo backed up Ross. At least he can alter shots.

EDIT: Vince would make Landry look foolish.

I think moving and walking on it, if you can, 100% helps heal the ankle quicker.. I know if I sprain my ankle and start walking it would definitely be normal enough to keep playing.. Might be a tad sore but easily manageable! If i stop doing what im doing and let it get tense then its a much more painful and slow process!

Severee ankle sprains are different however

JJ would actually more useful in taking on someone like Randolph at PF than any of their wings.

I say activate Cabocles and let him jack. It's not like they have anyone to burn and abuse him on D.

I can't wait to see the NBA take action against camera guys being under the net. It simply does not make any sense. Guys run at full speed and have NOWHERE to land.

They already have DSLRS that probably have 200x zoom. It really wouldn't hurt their pictures if they sat a meter or two behind.

Adam Silver, yes, I am talking to you.
