GT#4: Raptors vs Wizards 26/4/15 @6:30 PM on TSN??

Ive been a hardcore raptor fan forever, never missed a game but this playoff series ive hardly tuned in for the mere fact that i already knew the outcome coming into this. The raptors only had a shot at winning a round if they played as a team like last year. From a talent standpoint we might be deep but dont have enough quality talent. If i were Masai, im searching for a star player this offseason to pair with Lowry and Derozan and a new coach.

Have a good bench is overrated, being deep doesn't mean much when starters play heavy minutes in the playoffs anyway.

Lowry and Derozan combo aren't that good. And we don't have the right players to hide them on D or on O when they are having an off(regular) night.

It would be nice if the Raptors attacked Pierce on the defensive end more. He has been having trouble keeping up with drives, he back peddles too much just to stay in front of his man. His footwork defensively is no longer good. Same reason Vasquez gets attacked so much, Raptors should take advantage of the match up.

At this point I really want to start JJ, PPat and Steimer at the 3,4 and 5. Nothing to lose and Steims is probably our best rim protector

I was much less excited than last year and it turns out I was right that this team is just not playing the type of basketball that will get it done in the playoffs.

In the regular season you can win with depth and iso ball but not in the playoffs.

The Wizards are totally exposing the Raptors on both ends. Those dumb Derozan/Lowry/Lou shots won't get it done. How many teams still have so many contested shots? Even worse our bigs have been disappointing as well. JV looking like he's regressed under the big lights. Amir looking like he's 40. Tyler doing his best but simply shouldn't be more than a spot minutes guy.

I live a pretty stressful life, and I look forward to sitting at home comfortably and watching a great game of basketball.
I managed to watch mostly every single game this season, either alone or with my bro.
The W's, the L's, rollercoaster is an understatement.
This board has really kept me good company for the last 2 seasons.
Thank you to everyone on this board (I can't name each and every one of you, but guys know who you are, lol).

I'll be taking a hiatus from Raptors/basketball in general to pay more attention to things that matter more in life.
I got the biggest exam of my life (medical boards exam) around the corner.
Probably relocating cities (Chicago? ATL?)
Might get married, so I have that going on for me I guess.
Life's coming at me 100 mph, and I need to be prepared for it.

I might drop by every now and then to see Raptors progression or if there is any change.
Hope to see some familiar faces in the future.

Just need to vent somewhere.

Ive been a Raptors supporter since I was 9 years old.
Seen it all, been through it all, witnessed it all.
But this time, it felt different.

I have literally not a single, emotional response anymore. lol.
Anger at first, but now.. its just like I simply dont care.
Watching Raptors pull in really close, take the lead for a few moments, only to have the 3 point dagger upon us.
I was smiling in the most emotionless way.

I live a pretty stressful life, and I look forward to sitting at home comfortably and watching a great game of basketball.

Where are all the people who claimed our team was a ECF contender? LOL. First Brooklyn last year and now Washington this year. We are YEARS away from contention. Our first challenge is to win a playoff series. That could probably take one or two seasons alone, depending on our off-season, how our players develop, team chemistry and coaching.
