Lowry is starting to piss me off because he's one of those guys that wants all the glory when things go well but none of the blame when things don't go well, if you're a leader you can't have it both ways.

This year Lowrys ability to take charges disappeared which was on of our key defensive elements last season. I think he got his money, his all star nod and then mentally checked out. We paid him to be a leader and helped him push forward through the playoffs. Perhaps he never wanted to be here but just wanted the money and to make a point hes an all star to go somewhere else. If we rely on Lowry to be playing at his highest level (not going to happen with his conditioning) and to be on his best behaviour then we are not going to go anywhere as seen this disastrous season.

Hilarious how many rumours are coming out now after the finish we had.

Lowry, who has had well documented issues with his coaches, had plenty of suitors and would have had other situations provide him with much better chance at success. If he had any reason/issue to not resign here he wouldn't have.

It's possible Lowry and Casey have butted heads this year (like they did at the beginning) but I doubt this has any validity.

I wouldn't be mad if both Lowry and Casey are shipped out this summer, but I'd much rather try to build a team around a pissy player like Lowry than have a coach that is almost literally good at nothing.

Honestly, at this point I think getting rid of Casey AND Lowry is the best call.
While I like Lowry and Demar's talent level and they are assets to the team, its quite clear at this point that they are not winners - they play a dumb brand of offense - looking for "theirs" rather than a team win. Defense has disappeared and dumb fouling as a result.

Last year we competed, this year we were content chucking...

LOL Arthur is an idiot - on the eve of game three he suggested Ross was a bigger asset than DeMar, so take any front office stories from him with a dildo of salt

It's too late now that this **** has gone public. What a **** disaster.

Melo essentially made it public that he was going to NY and look what Masai was able to get for him. If there is anything Masai can do is rip people off, relax.

Arthur is not the idiot here.

The only guys I keep are Jonas and Bruno.

Bebe and Bruno imo, sell high on Yonas as well he did nothing in the playoffs too

Only Adelman. He beefed with McHale and said he wouldn't play for him again. He only recently took it back.

He still lead the league in charges.

Say all you want about Lowry, without him this team would've been in the lottery for the last 2 seasons and Casey would've not had a winning season as a coach. You'd better get rid of Casey before you get rid of Lowry.

redeye514 wrote:This is not an endorsement of Casey, but Lowry feels like he is legit tier 1 superstar, and he's not. The early season MVP talk was steroids for his ego, not in a good way.

I'm all for ego, but I think Lowry enjoys reminding people / teammates that he's "the man" too much. His comments re game 7 "next time I will make the shot" (what about pass or simply make the right basketball play?), Lowry's comments in preseason "this is my team and i will lead my group into battle", up until game 3 when he was asked if he thinks we should adjust ball distribution to get others involved "no, me DeRozan and Lou get our shots, that's what we do, everyone e understands that"... Now I know some of you may say all of those comments are good, and what you want from A leader, but here's the problem, kyle hasn't won a damn thing in his career. Ever. You don't think, rightfully or wrongfully, that Patterson Vasquez JJ and even JV don't have big egos? Why would, or should, they listen to Kyle dictate to them that him and Lou get all the shots? When has Kyle ever proven that he's a winner??

The great thing about our guys is that our group will always say the right thing, because they're good teammates. I always found it odd how guys like GV and PPat go out of there way to say that this its Kyles team. I'm sure they all do like Kyle a whole lot too but winning masks a lot. clearly there are issues in the locker room and it really does seem to me to be a Kyle Lowry ego trip. The problem with the guys I just rattled off above is that none of them have a winni g history either, so who are they to call out Kyles ego? Make themselves look like a bad teammate? Nah. That's precisely why they talk to the media about needing to play unselfish basketball, hero ball, and needing a veteran jack ass in the locker room. To reign in Kyles ego.

I suspect that Masai is going to sit down with Kyle and have one of those heart to hearts with him. If he doesn't think Kyle can learn from this humiliating loss, specifically on how to be a better a leader, and better empower your foot soldiers (teammates), then Kyle will be gone.

Sent from my iPhone, excuse spelling mistakes.

this also makes sense why Casey said in last interview about DeMar . "DeMar next level is being more vocal leader and telling others this is how it should be done, and not be worried about if a teammate views you differently"... also mentioned "Its DeMar & Amirs team by default they have ownership"

forget Lowry, he is fat and slow and fouls whenever he can't catch up with the person he is defending we need Emmanual Mudiay get rid of anyone and everyone except JV and Bruno to get Mudiay

Good at nothing except setting regular season wins records.

I wonder what Dolan would give for Lowry now?
