New Mexico St plays in one of the worst conferences in the NCAA. The once decent WAC is know where all teams that can't find a conference go to.

Take any efficiency stats with a major grain of salt. Not that I like or don't like the pick. The only thing I don't like is my scouting ability. But I do know his efficiency numbers which look great, are significantly skewed.

It's clearly another Casey pick. He wants guys with NBA skills right now. Paskal can rebound really well and is high energy, they're transferable skills, but again he's 22 and has almost hit his ceiling. After Masai took Bruno, we've taken Wright (senior), Norman (Senior), Poeltl (Sophomore with low ceiling), Siakaim (Senior). Casey clearly has no patience for rookies and wants guys to be able to play right now, even if we sacrifice potential with our picks to get them. It's not a terrible strategy with late round picks, but the raptors need a gigantic upgrade at PF right now and it's not going to occur internally

San Antonio is NO WAY drafting Davis. They like character guys. Not guys who will play hard enough for a second contract.

huge reach picking a guy 3 picks before the 2nd round ... :banghead:

I wonder if Masai knows analytics don't necessarily mean a damn thing. We just drafted two back to the basket big men. Basically drafted clones of JV and Biz.

I'm okay with projects but this guy was projected by many to be a 2nd round pick.

I really thought Davis was gonna be the guy and he would've been a steal.

I don't know about this one. I like the first pick cause he looks like a beast but I don't know about this late pick.

This dude actually has some pretty crazy numbers, both raw and analytically. 20 and 12 w/ 2 asts (and only 2 tos) and 2 blk; 31 PER .265 WS/48.

I'm not upset one bit about this pick, people only look at mock drafts projections, I actually like his scoring, rebounding and 31 PER.

What is it about Skal and Davis people are so high on? I actually don't see it.

As a follow up from my prior point in PER and the WAC.

Here are the teams in the WAC
Cal St Bakersfield
Grand Canyon
Chicago State
MIssouri - Kansas City
Utah Valley
Seattle
Rio Grande University
New Mexico State

Conference RPI = 26 out of 32.
