I honestly think if Masai could do it again, he wouldn’t have done that trade.

The raptors aren’t in this series if we had delon, JV and miles

No ****.

Gasol helped us win round 1 and 2. We might have been a round 1 upset without him
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

You can't pick and choose your roster in hindsight from game to game. There are other games we've won in these playoffs that these guys might have otherwise lost us. There are games where we could've used DeMar or Jak or Biz or Tucker or Ross... It's a silly hypothetical to play.

Why wouldn't they be? We've desperately needed bench help and delon would certainly provide that and even CJ might have helped compared to the garbage we've been bringing off the bench. We've needed another offensive threat and JV is definitely a good one. The only thing you can point to being better with gasol is the defence on Embiid of which JV was also very good at in his games against Philly. The passing that Gasol does is extremely overrated. If you don't shoot, then it's pretty damn easy to guard the pass.

Our guys would be in Costa Rica if we had those guys.

I actually can't believe Miles was even mentioned as a want. He was literally missing layups.

he totally would have not done that trade, there were other ways to get rid of CJ's contract. JV would have been far more valuable to this run that washed up gasol. This is not hindsight, I said from day 1 that the trade was a mistake and my thread got unfairly locked otherwise I would be posting here instead: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=1802716

JV abused the sixers this year and his also feasted on the magic, to think we would not be here with him and delon is just an absolute joke.

Yes. One guy that never could shoot, one guy that never could defend and was having a historically bad shooting season, and one of the worst defenders of the pick and roll action I’ve ever seen.

We’d be a lock for the finals with that group.

And speaking of lock....

Gasol 2/11

if we had JV, he'd go at least 5/11. Would've won this game for sure

Not when you factor in the point he would give up..

JV had better defensive rating with Raps than Gasol had. His defense is getting blown out of proportion.

If not Draymond Green - Raptors in ECF would have home court advantage. With 9-11 games instead of 12 played in the post-season before yesterday.

It's annoying how a herd of sheep is following couple spin doctors here.

We didn't trade JV because he got hurt. That's such a baaaaaaaahd spin on it.

And we had home court the last 2 rounds. Do we get more home court or something for finishing better?

Good lord, as if there are people who STILL think we would've gotten this far without Gasol shutting down 2 All stars. Yeah, I'm sure Masai is REALLY regretting not keeping 2 dudes he would have to give big extensions to, or lose for nothing.

It was the right trade to make, now enjoy the ride. If he wants them back, he can sign them in a few weeks (he won't).

Good dude and contrary to some other players he acts like a man. Understands there's no point in harboring hate especially when it has nothing to do with the city, players or the fans.

Then we got players like Bosh, acting all gossipy talking ish and starting ish when it really does nothing but make them look bad, petty and unappreciative of the time and passion that existed on both sides. That kind of thinking is not real, it's an emotional response.

I respect the guy.

Always a class act. Unfortunate he had to go for Kawhi to come, but that comes with the territory when you trade for an MVP candidate... The other team obviously wants a talented player in return.

After his initial freakout(which is understandable), DeMar has handled himself better and better as time has gone on, especially compared to guys like Bosh and Casey.
