Re: PG: Raps in 6ix. NBA Champs
Congratulations to all Raptors fans!
Man, what a ride, what a story, and what a way to close down that building . As I sit here hearing the 'we the north/let's go raptors' chants, the world knows that you guys have a passionate fanbase who deserve this team and this moment. I'm glad it wasn't a superteam that won this time, but a team that was built the right way. Okay, maybe Demar was the sacrificial lamb or whatever you call it, but it was one hell of a good business decision by Masai. Obviously it was a necessity to get here. The most enjoyable 'ship by a team since the '11 Mavs for me. Hopefully my team can climb that mountain some day. I was rooting for you guys in every series after you beat us (as I had planned during the regular season, it was just a bit weird that we had to match up first), but damn this was stressful as hell, I can't imagine how it was for you guys. I almost don't want my team to go through this because I may die of stress before the finish line.
As for the injuries, well first of all I hope KD and Klay get well soon, Looney too I suppose. But any talk of asterisks is absurd, every won championship has a context within which it happens, yes, but as series against the Rockets and Blazers showed, the Warriors still have plenty of class on the floor. So did the 76ers and the Bucks (my team not so much, sadly). You beat them all. The only asterisk season is that one lockout season one where players weren't ready to go. Injuries that shape the league happen every year and by the end both teams will be banged up in the finals, as was the case very much this year. It's just going to be that the serious injuries that happened were very visual by actually occurring during the finals, so there's going to be more of a direct response. In the end good fortune shone on the Raptors in this regard, good for you guys.
Have fun with all the celebrating and be safe!

No Durant. No Klay. Heck, had Klay not gotten hurt tonight they may have overcome KD being out and taken the series.
Congrats, fellas.
Stay salty cocky ****
Says the guy who came to the Bucks board mocking everyone with and-1's after the refs helped you get past MKE.

I will take it!

Different year, but the same results: McCaw with another ring.
