Had a good laugh at the local Walmart. Three quarters of the chips and pop isle was empty.

All Chef Boyardee and all the Heinz pasta like Alphagetti were sold out. People must be really desperate for food.

they weren't selling well in recent years due to popularity of organic products.

temporary workers won't be available to pick the crops. agriculture may be hard to find in stores. you can't stock that.

I'm sure people can survive by eating frozen or canned fruit/vegetables for the short term if it comes to that.

This is more than enough evidence that even though we consider ourselves "advanced" as a species, a few rumours and a little bit of fake news brings the majority of us to complete sheep-like behaviour.

Loblaws, if they think I'm not going to remember that and I'm not going to recover my pound of flesh back later, they are really **** mistaken. I left that place pretty disgusted by even higher prices for a fair bit of items and flat out profiteering.

This I also noticed, nothing was on sale. I went to one of the stock boys and said you must be making a killing. He just laughed. Usually stores would have manager specials but nope, only thing I saw was things that were about to spoil being discounted.

You might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later you'll **** up your pipes.

Some brands are flushable.

Example: https://www.cottonelle.com/en-us/products/cottonelle-flushable-wipes

The general consensus is that even if they're marketed as "flushable", they're really bad for for your plumbing and it will clog your pipes at some point if you keep using them. I've read this from plumbers so I think it's better not to use them.

Ok... enough of this foolishness. They aren't plastic and if you leave it overnight in the toilet it breaks down like toilet paper so you can imagine what happens elsewhere.

Lol a lot of the trash canned boyardee stuff is sold out. Some chunky soup there, don’t mind that though a bit pricier. Fruits and veggies plenty left lol.

Here are my quick solutions:

1. Improve our healthcare system so that there is less panic and stress about overloading the system. Build more hospitals, emergency clinics and have a larger emergency fund to hire emergency nurses and doctors.

2. Establish some guidelines and protocol on the federal, provincial and municipal level for disaster events such as outbreaks, natural disasters, and wars?

3. Prohibit people from reselling items such as toilet paper, hand sanitizers, wipes, masks, etc at a rate of more than 50% above original value to discourage price gouging. The same goes for prohibiting stores from jacking up prices too.

4. Build more factories that produce essential items that people are and will panic about to minimize import shortage in future events.

Social panic occurs from a lack of coordination, information and trust in our government. More and more of these events will occur in the future, and with the increase in social and free media, people will panic in the next event until our government addresses the core issues.

What I truly don't understand is why does it take less than a second for governments around the world to provide relieve funds, bail-outs and tax breaks for big corporations to "save the economy" when it takes years to secure funding for things that we actually need. Its as if the government works for the big corporations and not us -_^

Washington state and italy are examples of places that were panic buying and now the selves are full 2 weeks later it was be the same in canada. There's just not enough trucks to supply the hoarders and in a few weeks no ones gonna need anything

Yeah and all those stories about city sewers being clogged up by wipes, it's all just a conspiracy.

Go ahead and do whatever you want. It's not my house but good luck to you.

The fact that he even insinuated that he’s an alpha because he’s protecting his family suggests to me that he’s no alpha.

A real alpha doesn’t panic buy while suggesting that those who don’t are not real men.

The problem is the stuff too. It's all junk in plastic packaging and packed full of processed chems

The city centres bring out stories too, I heard a guy pulled a gun out at Loblaws at queen and Portland for toilet paper

flushable wipes: be careful. toilet paper is designed specifically for the plumbing. flushable wipes will **** it up. just toss it in a bin.

i mean, you dont want the zombies to smell all that **** when your toilet is overflowing because of those wipes.

or even better yet: much better for the environement and overall more hygenic.
