Whether you believe Lewenberg or not, fact remains that if Kawhi felt strong enough in our chances of repeating, he wouldn't have left.

This loss by Clippers just makes you appreciate last year's team even more. Kawhi carried us through some really tough stretches in the playoffs but by the end, the rest of the team was carrying him as much as he was carrying us. We had got over the hump, got that valuable experience, had all kinds of chemistry, no distractions or baggage, and we were ready to repeat. It's clear some of that carried over into this season as well. Truly believe we could've repeat had he stayed, which makes him leaving sting to this day.

Whatever, if we weren't going to make it to Finals, this was the best outcome so I'm happy at least for a day.

Will be very interesting to see what he's going to do next offseason if they lose again considering he got wanting-to-play-home out of his system.

Guys dont be mad at him, he wanted so bad going home he was making excuses. Regardless of the outcome, we should be grateful because he gave it all during the time he was in the Raps. Period.

It makes me appreciate this year's team more. People had this team falling apart without Kawhi, and they battled till the end, even when at times they were playing terribly.

Same thing. This year's team is basically last year's minus Kawhi. Some terrible performances by Siakam took some of the shine away but the team was special.

Raptor Kawhi was and always be his strongest form. He left his super powers in Canada and Jamal Murray scooped them up.

His actual prime form was 2017 Spurs pre-Zaza. He was significantly more explosive, faster, with the same level of brute strength and shot creation.

Oh Pascal was horrible...part of me feels bad for him tho...young kid with alot of expectations but with the amount of money he's about to make, no more feeling sorry for him...but i hope he finds his way.

I’m sure he will, he’s young. And ujiri will see the right moves to right the ship as this raps squad is becoming an aging one

huh?

Gasol, Ibaka, and Lowry are the only players over 30. Everyone else is 27 or younger. Which means exactly in their prime or right before entering their prime.

If Kawhi was as much of a snake as some Raps fans think he is then he would've held out like he did with the Spurs or at least sat out when he was hobbling on the court during the playoffs, instead he was throwing down dunks and hobbling back to get back on defense. The dude played his heart out in the playoffs and brought this franchise a championship(with the help of his teammates and coaches). '

I can understand being a bit salty about how he/Uncle Dennis handled free agency(with the rumoured trade demands or fake demands to use the Raps as leverage to squeeze more perks out of Ballmer), but people are acting like really screwed over this franchise lol.

For the ones defending Kawhi remember this:

- he strung us along in every way possible
- he strung his long time teammate Danny Green along
- he got money under the table and he got Balmer to try and buy his logo while he was still in the playoffs for us
- His crew were sending out signals he was leaving through Woj in the finals before playoffs ended
- He got clippers to empty their chest and future for PG

He doesn’t give a sht about anyone but himself. Blaming his uncle is a copout.

He deserves every loss he gets going forward

Lol he did all that not for our team, our city but only for his legacy. He was being harped on by the media as being a sellout to the Spurs and he had to regain his persona. You are fooling yourself if you think he did it for us!

just imagine what his perception in the league would have been if he sat out after being traded. It would have justified everything Spurs had been saying all along!

If anything Masai did it for us and he also helped Kawhi get another championship. Lets not twist this around to make Kawhi look good!

I think Kawhis leg is flaring up again, notice how much explosion he’s lost since the first round? And how he hasn’t been big factor in the second halves of the last couple games ?

We might have dodged a bullet but remains to be seen

I don’t think anyone hates Kawhi. If there was a way for him to win a title and that truly unlikable Clippers team to lose, I would have been happy. But I also think that the point is ‘he didn’t win a title’ on his own here and I think he bought into a media narrative that he somehow had a better supporting cast this year with the Clippers.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Fair enough, either way I can only be so mad at a guy who helped bring this franchise a championship, motivations aside. I like Masai's mentality in life, he enjoyed the championship and now he's moving on from losing Kawhi and focusing on what's next, I think that's a healthier mentality to have.

Yeah, I'm surprised this isn't being talked about more. I kept waiting for him to try to take over this game by dominating inside the paint, but he was settling for jump shots and more than a couple of them were short.

he def moved a bit slow. lots of casual nba fans act like he was this beast. we did well in the ecf and finals to help support him. sucks for the guy, PG was garbagbe and guys like lou and montrez are not winning players, they are just terrible on the defnsive end. lakers would have destrroyed them anyways, they need a legitmate big
