If there was ever a season to limit Lowry’s minutes and let all of the young guys play, this is the one. I wouldn’t mind a late teens pick and a max spot in summer 2021.

What about LaMarcus Aldridge?

1 year @ $24M

A package surrounding Norm, mcCaw and Stanley...

Sign Gasol and bring him off the bench

Look at us... hoping to sign Biz. We're deprived and desperate at this point...

I don't think I've ever seen the Masai and Bobby in desperation mode... lol. unprecedented times.

They’re not in desperation mode lol. The most they’re giving Gasol, like Serge, is a one year deal. Desperation would be giving Serge a 3 year $60 million deal and blowing chances for 2021.

Maybe I'm dreaming but if we could get Marc for 3/15 I would be stoked.

This is not the year to go all in. Everything we do has to have an eye on next season. Marc will always be worth 5 milly per year for matchups. Even if he doesn't play much.

If we only sign Marc for one year that would be great too. And probably gets us to a second round.

If we want to lure a big time FA next year then we should still be competitive rather than be in rebuild mode. I think our goal is to remain within the top 3 of the conference to be able to attract a Giannis or a Gobert. It's not in our DNA to roll over especially when we have guys like Lowry and FVV on the team.

Losing Ibaka isn't the end of the world imo. Just try to pick up a competent center and re-sign Boucher.

Whoever we get, Nurse will coach them up or utilize them properly.
I’m not worried when we have Coach Nick's creative mind at the helm.

Serge is great - and we probably don't replace him with someone better, he still had issues that hurt us at times too. Took way too many threes, wasn't a great rebounder, and a ton of easy turnovers.

We are pretty desperate. If we do not sign Gasol, we may have to split our MLE for 2 players, unless the other team is willing to do a sign and trade, but since we traded our 2nd round pick for the next 2 years + another one in 4 years, we are basically lacking some assets.

Meanwhile, Gasol missed half of the season, and you would pray he will play better than the playoffs last year.

Why didn't we sign Noel? That was such a bargain at 5 mill. Are you kidding me?

Mar Gasol for $5 million / 1
Baynes for $5 million / 1
Ilyasova for min (since getting paid by Milwaukee after being waived)
Sign undrafted Kaleb Wesson on 2-way contract.
Give Ellenson a shot

SF OG - Powell - McCaw
PF Siakam - Ilyasova / Boucher - Stanley
C Gasol/Baynes - Dewan/Wesson/Ellenson

I don't mind a slight drop to say the #6 seed to get a 2021 draft pick in the teens.

Please donèt resign Gasol. Even with the covid break and weight loss and he did not improve, if anything regressed.
Id take my chances on trying to get Bismack, Whiteside or Cousins. Maybe 2 out the three and upgrade roster by getting another shooter thru a trade.
If you bring in one these bigs, they strictly focus on rebounds and screens, and hopefully spread scoring from other positions.

Pretty wrong.
We already made a win now move in the draft. We draft a NBA ready but lower ceiling player.

Meanwhile, if you think Lowry would want to tank, you are pretty wrong. You will probably make the team chemistry pretty bad in the next few years as well.

I’m sure Masai and Bobby knew this was a possibility and had some contingency plans in mind including the trade market. Less than an ideal situation for sure but I’m not overly worried.

Gasol could play on crutches and he'd be better than all 3 of those guys.

Who are these young guys? We don’t have prospects outside of TD and Malachi. The entire team is full of veterans.
