Kuminga looks and plays like Siakam as I was watching his lightlight reel. similar game.

but we probably take Suggs if we had #1 based on Raptors criteria of choosing a player. he looks like the best two-way guard in the top 5. does everything on the floor - scoring, rebounding, court vision/passing. he'd likely step in right away at starting point guard when Lowry leaves. good size at 6'4" as well. can guard SGs if FVV is the other guard on the floor. he can win ROTY imho.

Cade is a better athlete but i don't see anything special about him.

Mobley I would take. Move Siakam down to the 3 where he'll match up better with his size. Mobley at the 4. Thats a sick front court. but Mobley will take some years to develop as most bigs often do.

Jalen Green definitely has the highest upside but is the most raw of the top 5 right now. crazy athleticism and highlight reel. ya if I were the 5th overall pick i'd take whoever is remaining of Kuminga or Green.

Kuminga is Siakam clone but i don't know what his mental makeup is. He is what Siakam would have been, at his age, if Siakam started playing basketball earlier in life from seeing his highlight reel.

I think Kuminga has much better shot mechanics then siakam to be considered a clone

Yah don't bother with Nbadraft.net Nba comparisons. For the most part they are garbage

His shot mechanics honestly don’t even look bad really. I don’t think he’ll have any problems developing his shot as he gets more reps in

Definitely a better looking shot than Kawhi had coming in lol

Siakam is a pretty bad comp for Kuminga. .net is usually pretty garbage

I don't agree at all with the assessment of Kuminga being a Siakam clone especially at the same age. Pascal was essentially an energy player that was limited to spin moves around the basket. He had no off the dribble game, pull up jumper etc. Kuminga has already developed much of that and plays far more like a SF than Pascal did/does. I'm sure Kuminga will likely be a hybrid forward but he's not reliant on his speed to leak out on fastbreaks or stumble to the basket on drives like Pascal and he looks much stronger and filled out at the same age. If anything he looks like a more refined Achuiwa.

But I do agree that Suggs screams "Raptor pick", as a high IQ, 2 way player. Personally I would prefer Cade, I know that you said you don't see anything special but I disagree on that because he plays at his own pace which is a huge key in picking apart defenses a la Luka or probably more at the level of Tatum and he'd give us added size in the line up to be able to switch better defensively. But I wouldn't obv have problem with Suggs and Flynn other than the same issue of being undersized to switch well but both very good defenders for their size and Dame/CJ show teams can do well in spite of that plus we'd still have our forwards but the issue of needing to flip Fred..

I've been high on Green, thought he had a longer wingspan but he's basically physically identical to LaVine and may end up being a very similar player. I think LaVine is underrated so still like Jalen but was hoping he'd be a Kobe-lite type, but the Mamba was longer.

Mobley is an interesting prospect, feel like I need to see more of him. He's got some nice looking shooting touch but personally haven't seen the guard like skills like an AD or even more extreme KD. So if he's just a tall, lanky shooter that's good but not great but we'll see.

I'd add Zaire Williams and Jalen Johnson to the list too though of prospects I'd be totally fine with. I think they're both being slept on especially Zaire as a scorer. Jalen I think can end up being something of a Cade-lite in time. Such a good top 7-8 which makes this a perfect season to mini tank...

I see him as a hybrid kinda in the mold of Jaylen brown with a ceiling of Kawhi

There’s also definitely a chance he still grows a bit taller too since he’s still just turned 18. Tatum grew this summer so I wouldn’t be surprised if Kuminga can get to 6’10” (6’8” right now). Physically he can easily play the 4 and occasionally even small ball 5 and skill wise I think he can be a 3. Kids pretty damn versatile from what I’ve seen of him so far.

Hopefully once the Gleague season starts next month we’ll get a better idea on what he looks like and how he projects but as of right now, I’m really high on him and have him as my top prospect

thats fair to say but watching him, he has that Siakam 2019 and 2020 skill set. i'm not directly comparing them at the same age. Kuminga is obviously way more advanced vs Siakam at the same age.

yes I agree on Suggs on being the Raptors type of pick.

Cade - ya the more i watch highlights of him, the more i like him. his court vision is there.

Green, i need more time to watch his highlights

Mobley is definitely the one I would take if I had pick #3, if not #1. he seems like he has good handles but like you i need to see more. he seems more agile that LMA and more like Bosh. i can see where the Bosh comparisons come from. good court vision. good shooting touch.

I haven't done enough enough research on those other guys.

Change the title to the Kuminga thread

Didn't watch one second of tape but if he's African Kawhi then this conversation is over. You take that. Especially over American players who will leave after the rookie extension

Hadn’t seen this clip till now. Seems Kuminga can switch onto guards on defense and keep up with them. His shot and handle also look a lot better than advertised. With some development he can be a beast on both ends. Comparing to siakam is a joke lol he looks a lot smoother and more talented than pascal

Honestly, if we can get Jalen Green all this **** would be worth it. I still don’t think we’re bad enough to not make the playoffs.

I’m a big fan of Mobley. Guy looks like a guaranteed 20/8 in the league. Like a Lamarcus Aldridge. That’s not bad.

He's got better handles and better outside shot early in his career.

Cunningham is gonna struggle at the next level. He looks closer to RJ Barrett. He has a weak handle and bullies his way right now in college. His shot is streaky and with average athleticism.

This draft is stacked.... I like the top 5 players. Each of the Top 5 could have been the number 1 pick in this years draft (I think(
