We're NOT trading GTJ in a Turner trade. That would take Raps down to one usable guard. I'd rather keep Gary and play Precious and Boucher more.

Don't forget, Nate Bjorkgren spent plenty of time with Turner and knows his strengths, weaknesses and personality profile intimately.
How aggressive Raptors management will be in terms of trying to deal or not for Turner will be heavily based on Nate's insider information. So whatever they decide will be based on solid intel.

I really don't think they have much interest unless he comes cheap.

He doesnt really fit their profile of a switchable big who can guard on the wing, create turnovers, get out in the fast break.

horrible trade for us

indy will really want OG. And I'd be open to an overpay of Durate and Turner for OG

Lol. Looks like someone talked to the Pacers side.

There's zero chance the Raps trade OG for Turner.

The Pacers asked for OG, Masai said no.

"Discussed"

If OG was on the table, trade would already be done.

OG is younger and better. Plus he’s locked into a great value contract

Pacers would need to add pretty significant value to get OG

Teams are dreaming if they think they can get 2 first round picks for veterans they are done with. The guy doesn't move your overall needle that much. If we wanted to package a large expiring with two first round picks that should be enough to get a premium player, not that any are available. As I understand it now, we have more need for a scoring guard and bench depth than an upgrade at C.

It’s amazing how little these reports seem to think we value our players.

Not a chance it was “discussed”.

Pacers call and ask for OG. Masai laughs and hangs up.

That is NOT a discussion.

My belief is that Fischer's source is Kevin Pritchard or someone within the Pacers org. He carried water for them by publishing the Nate Bjorkgren article where there was a ton of unconfirmed (and later refuted) rumors. It helped provide the justification for him being fired.

Zeno wrote:I think if you can get a 1st and a young player with some promise from another team for GTJ you consider it given his player option in the 3rd year and that you can't extend him before that.

So I would do GTJ for THT, Nunn and a Lakers 2027

And then trade Our 1st, Lakers pick, Flynn, Dragic for Turner

I know that THT has a similar contract structure to GTJ but he has more growth potential as a player/asset than what GTJ does in my opinion. Obviously I could be horribly wrong but that is why you need a 1st thrown in.

THT is GARBAGE man. They should've dealt him last year. That said...if this deal basically boils down to GTJ, Flynn, Dragic, our 1st, for Turner Nunn, THT, that seems relatively fair, I can't lie. I'm against dealing 1st rounders, but if this gets it done, it could be worse.

Remember, Ainge didn't want Turner for free not too long ago when they were looking to flip Hayward in a sign and trade.

Non superstar bigs who already make big money just aren't that valuable on the trade market.

If Turner is traded, it will be for something like mid-late 1st, B prospect, filler contract.

Pacers are trying to pull a Morey and inflate the value of their players through the media.
