At some point you'd think the so called leaders/vets on this team would take things personal?
They just got clowned AGAIN by the worst team in all of basketball. These guys are taking liberties physically, guys are getting hurt, and jacking up 3 pointers with <5 seconds left up by like 20.
They've been owned by them for 3 years straight, yet no fight, no tech's, just hugs and love after the game.
Brutal display, show some **** pride!

We win, move on to the next one. We lose, we discuss the issues and weaknesses. Not rocket science
People aren’t gonna spend their night just repeatedly praising players after every win. After a loss, there’s just far more things to discuss

At some point, doesn't MU **** move some small **** pieces around for other small **** pieces to just TRY and find improvement from the bench?
Oh and a real C sure would be **** nice.

Especially against battered below .500 teams.

Casey swept him in the 2019 championship season. I am pretty sure Nurse doesn't give a F about that. Casey can dominate every head-to-head matchup. That doesn't make him the better coach. Last time the Pistons beat us they went ahead and lost double digit games in a row. Now if Casey could face the raptors for 82 games, you might be onto something.

Re: PG: Abysmal
It's surprising how little this is being acknowledged. In the last two games, we have scored 95 and 87 points with GTJ's "replacements" giving us absolutely nothing. Yuta was 0/7 with 2 points, Champagnie was 1/4 with 2 points and Svi was 0/3 with 0 points -- that's a whopping 4 points on 1/14 shooting in 60 minutes with some turnovers to boot.ciueli wrote:The team has one playable guard right now with GTJ out, not sure what we're supposed to do.
The lack of spacing (Scottie and Birch/Achiuwa on the floor rather than just one with GTJ) has also switched how the opposition defends FVV in particular. It's no surprise he is 13/39 overall and just 3/15 inside the paint the last two games; he has absolutely no room to operate and the only times he has been able to get a clean look is off a broken play (transition or offensive rebound) or if he takes a 30+ footer off the dribble.

Re: PG: Abysmal
Cade and Barnes will be compared for years because they come from the same draft and were HS teammates.... and honestly to start the season Cade was the worse player (perhaps in part from being injured during training camp and preseason), but Cade he's so much more opportunity to handle the ball, make plays, have offense run for him, etc that he is in a situation to improve and develop more during the course of the season.
Of course the work in the offseason will be huge for both players development, but Cade is in the all-in development plan much like rookie LeBron was.... and Barnes is much more a piece of the puzzle for the Raptors being the 4th or 5th option and he is in more of a situation like a rookie Tatum where he's more of a player that just has to fill his role.
It'll certainly be interesting to see how the 2nd half of the season goes for both these guys. Hopefully Barnes becomes more of a focus for the Raptors offense because FVV can get his whenever, but for FVV to really take his game to the next level its about what he can do for guys like Barnes to help him develop. It's what guys like Lowry, Billups, Chris Paul, etc figured out and made them such important pieces to great teams.

Trent probably gives you about 20 points in a game like this. Instead we got a measly two points from the guard position

Re: PG: Abysmal
Well this game was a definite L
Not sure why the pistons announcers were surprised how well the pistons were playing defense…. Do they not know it’s the Casey bowl every time they play the raptors?????

I don't think there's a team in the East I would fear more in a playoff matchup
