I think we'll get something done, Bobby and Masai are very good at their jobs, but yes it would be straight up neglect and grossly irresponsible if they did absolutely nothing.

Don't discount the stupidity of the knicks. Also his contract ends next year. Those Fournier and walker deals are horrible too

honestly everyone is in better standing if this trade goes down.

1.5 years of Westbrook and randle is a hell of a lot better than 4 years of randle and fournier.

Even westbrook can save face by getting the terrible knicks to be "sorta ok" to "not quite mediocre."
Agreed. I think they'd be slightly better, might fight for the last play in spot next year. But imagine knicks fan's reactions to his 3/18 brick games. oh man lol

Malachi is done as a Raptor imo, expecting some random 2nd rounder or rights to some European player who won't even come here

No one has said anything about tinkering with the starting 5.

It's about not squandering Goran's contract for nothing. Then we essentially traded Lowry for Achuiwa, barfs.

I think the raptors FO is looking closely at Gallo.. He's a big that can handle the ball, he's agile and can shoot the three. Sound familiar?

I get from the perspective of most fans seeing as he's older, injury prone, production is not was it was in the past and probably not in the raptors future plans. However looking at this more closely he just fits the raptors style of play and future vision for our up and coming players. He would be a great veteran addition to help mold our younger guys. I see value in that alone. Veteran leadership can be underated and here's an opportunity where we can get a guy who really fits the bill when it comes to Raptors basketball and our style of play.

Whatever move the FO makes it wont be someone who will come in and make a huge splash in a single category like some are waiting for to happen. A move like this fits our style, improves the bench slightly and can aid in our development of our rooks.

You are the GM of a team that could contend for a Championship;

Who has the potential to have the biggest negative effect on your locker room: Harden or Simmons?

We’ll get something I think. Just not all that great. Think John Salmons/Rodney Hood type of player.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

You have contradicted yourself. The very fact that people realise how good our starters are now is the same reason they want bench help for them. No one is saying trade starters for a star.

This team deserves bench help and a dragic contract should be able to get them that.

Do you really think that management isn't working the lines and pursuing the best possible deals? Toronto has arguably the best front office in the league and it'd be laughable to assume that they aren't.

I never said they aren’t. But sometimes you can get greedy and miss out. Its great to be hard to deal with but you dont want to be too staunch in your position for extras in a deal and miss out. We have had that happen to us last deadline and in the past. We lost Serge and Gasol and Green and got nothing for them.

Didn't we get cap space by not taking back contracts and letting them walk? You don't have to get back pieces for every player you have on your team. Sometimes letting contracts expire allows you to have space to work with (even if it is creating space to sign extensions for your current players while avoiding the tax).

i dont get it? U want to trade Danny before a championship run? You want to trade Marc before the attempt to defend the title? Serge left with less money

I really hope not. He would be an upgrade on some of our current bench options, but we can do much better than Gallinari and besides it seems like he's always injured. We need a credible 3&D role player who can handle the ball, or perhaps two (which would be really ideal).
