How should the team move forward this season?

Go for ping pong balls to draft a star potential prospect adding to our core.

That Cav win was real; these two are not.

I was hoping for one CHA win this week - as another rallying point for TWO like that GSW loss to Poole and Draymond

Time to get back to normal scheduled programming though.

Where are all the "we gotta keep GTJ" crowd after 6-20 with 1 reb and 1 ast in 36 min?

Look at GTJ's 40 games in 2 halves - the first 20 and next 20 - rebounds and assists consistently low and only cold and hot streaks of shooting defines "trade him" and "gotta keep him"

Based on our sorely lacking shooting, I probably would be on the side of keeping him, but I think he wants a big cheque in FA and someone else will give him. Ultimately he is not a good asset at 25M-30M being a one trick pony who goes into tunnel vision shooting mode

It's just not looking good. Not looking good at all. Also lowkey the draft prospects aren't even showing out like that so far

It's the Hornets, I wouldn't be reacting to this 2 game series either way.

I've said it before, it's the games against the other mediocre teams that will determine the Raps fate.

The Hornets aren't mediocre, they are terrible.

Hornets top 5 picks since they last won a playoff series in 2002:

  • Emeka Okafor
  • Raymond Felton
  • Adam Morrison
  • Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
  • Cody Zeller
  • LaMelo Ball

Not a bad list tbh. They have a franchise guy in Ball and almost everyone else on that list had longterm NBA careers. Not sure what point youre trying to make here.

Okafor - 10+ year career
Adam Morrison - Bust, but also was a role player on championship teams
Raymond Felton - 15 year career
MKG - Bust
Cody Zeller - Long career, still playing
Ball - ROY, potential to be a top 5 PG in the NBA

The Raptors lottery picks arent exactly a list of hall of famers either

So you're saying Masai is as good as the GM's Charlotte has had? I guess you're calling Masai dumb and not capable of drafting.

OKC Top 5 Picks.

Harden
KD
Westbrook
Chet

You can pick and choose examples to pursue your weak narrative. At the end of the day the fact is the higher the pick the better your odds, if you think Masai is a dumb GM, well you're entitled to that opinion.

We all know what happens come playoff time. Siakam is gonna get his, OG will be okay, perhaps even good. Everyone else is going to suck hard. Van Fleet goes back into chucker mode, Gary gets the flu, Scottie can't shoot, we go down 0-3 before actually competing and eventually lose 4-1.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.
