What's the problem ? Collecting assets instead of letting them go for nothing, right ? S&t still possible, mavs definitely should reach out to Portland. Doncic, Irving + Grant gives them the much need wing defender. Salary filler, hardy and a future pick. Deal done

Sure .. if they get that lifeline. No team gives him that deal if they are rebuilding. Contracts dictate underrated/overrated. It's swung big time. So far its a misfire

Looks like Heat are back to joining the top tier in the East with Bucks/Celtics.

The better the top half of the East gets, the more likely it is that Masai makes a trade imo

you could also go the other way....the worst the top of the East gets (Bucks lose Lopez for example), the more likely Masai goes all-in.

Lillard isn't coming to Toronto if that's what you're getting at

Masai has been going all in for 2-years already, what else is new

How does this make sense for us lol. Replacing Pascal with Dame isn’t winning us a ring. We’re too far away from contention

If you grab Dame you keep Pascal. You’d need both not just one.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

This is our chance Masai!! Get 'er done! Dame+Pascal would be a nice 1/2.

that's why Raptors FO at least needs to be on the phones...don't let the Heat get away with a robbery, otherwise you should've just started a full on rebuild.

Masai clearly picked a win-now direction, got screwed by VV... there is no "win now with an eye towards the future" since you need to trade your future to acquire a guy like Dame to win now. He didn't have the balls to full commit to Scottie so he should just double down on his decision and trade Scottie for Dame if he had any integrity but he doesn't.

The whole plan with this team makes zero sense. Either should have started the damn rebuild or now you have Dame dangled in front of your face who can provide an upgrade for FVV and allow you to win now.

This entire FO is in shamblesland.

doesn't have to be lillard...any disgruntled top 20 player.

but yea the report of Lillard only wanting Miami just came out....not surprising.

Just got rid of vv (albeit unintentionally), to go back to treadmilling with Dame.

With all due respect, I can't even see Dame wanting to join the Raptors with this crap.

Dame, GTJ, OG, Siakam, Poetl

You don’t think that team could do damage?

Well at minimum, what would we have to give up? Dame's salary means we need to send out a lot. The only players of interest we have are Barnes, OG, Siakam, and Dick. If I'm the Blazers, Barnes and OG isn't enough. It would need to be Barnes and Siakam, and at that point, why bother if we have nothing around Dame?

Let's be clear. Dame is light years above Scottie, but it's about the team we can surround him with after gutting our team to acquire him.

Yea if you trade for Dame you need Pascal to pair with him

Would be kinda funny if we land Dame and make a run with Dame + Pascal. Blazer fans would have to be pissed knowing they could’ve been the ones who had that. Lowkey wanna trade for Dame just for this to happen lmao

I agree we're stuck in the middle....not tanking, not contending.....at a point where our only hope is Barnes turning into a superstar

It's more to do with Damian Lillard. And you are out of your god damn mind for severely overrating Damian Lillard for your own personal agenda.

Masai just needs to trade for Dame the same way he did for Kawhi. **** what destination the player wants.

If that’s Barnes and a first or so you have to do it. Puts us in contender status for the next 2-3 years then we can start a full rebuild if it fails.

I don't want Barnes gone but my point is that given the direction Masai took if he had any cajones he would just trade him and go all-in. Our FO is neither here nor there, it's just pathetic. They can't commit to anything either way.
