Boucher is gone right? I'm actually kind of surprised the Hawks went for Kennard over Boucher.

They don't have the money to do that this year.

Player option, or likely no signing.

How can anyone hate Boucher who was a class act getting benched during his contract year...

how is wanting him off the team hating on him?

he was a terrible player who couldn't learn any systems since he joined the team.

Nets - are one way to duck tax later on, but may cost us.

Seems like a good pickup.

A move is definitely coming.

No move is coming. We had one roster spot remaining and we filled it with a solid backup center who fits the bill.

RJ isn't gonna get anything valuable right now. Just trade him at the deadline.

It was their choice to not have money.

And yet he impacted winning off the bench more than most. He has his flaws but he also has his strengths that cant be taught. Hes a great minimum type player to have imo.

What does that have to do with this signing?

If it took giving a player option to sign him, you do it.

Everything. Prioritize flexibility until contending status.

so what's our rotation looking like as of today?

iq, rj, bi, scottie, yak with shead, jakobe/ochai/gradey, cmb, sandro off the bench?

one of jakobe/ochai/gradey is gonna lose out on minutes this year barring any further trades.

Ya that's kinda stupid.
If he has a decent season, he'll just bolt in free agency next summer.

Yeah, that is how you convince him to come here. He has a $5.5M floor with the potential to earn more.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Kennard was one of top 3pt % shooters in the league. Hawks snuck a Canuck into their m Front office and he’s been killing this off season. We should get him sent back up here.

He defended Fs better than Cs. He held Fs to a 46 fg%, Cs shot 60%.

You play him for his offense and stretch big ability and just hope he's a net neutral defensively. He's an offensive signing.

I guess the good news is your can put Mogbo or CMB on the person you want to shutdown and Mamu on the other.

Ya, he'll be surrounded by defensive beasts to help offset his deficiencies. Hes the new Olynyk in that sense.

Ideally, he's a good 3rd C because we're still 1 injury away to Poeltl to having to tank the season.

Wait we actually got a Center that can actually spaces the floor and isn’t completely offensively inept? Give Bobby that promotion asap!
