I get it. I was in Grade 12 at the 3rd to last show before JG died.

Like I've said before, Shead is better than FVV. FVV was so clutch though.

Not yet he's not. Again FVV at his best had the impact of a top 25 player (even if you're skeptical of the advanced stats that love him, you would reasonably not know him down anywhere past the top 50 when he was at this best).

Shead is not at that level although he has taken a huge leap this year.

Shead seems to be creating a really high amount of rim looks as a ratio of his total assists.

https://www.pbpstats.com/totals/nba/player?Season=2025-26&SeasonType=Regular%2BSeason

He's just a steady steady guy to have at the backup spot, and since he's taken such a leap so far his second season, I do think there's some more ceiling left for him to improve. As it stands now, his current play would have him as a top tier backup PG.

The things he does best are things he's going to continue to do well I think, his ability to get into the paint and create really easy looks while also being quite responsible with the ball. That A/TO ratio is Calderon like.

10.3apg per 36.

We NEED him for his playmaking and defense.

Perfect backup PG.

Shead was a better pick than Dick and JaKobe.

I think Shead is on track to be our future starting PG. We have had a lot of luck with these undersized, but strong and aggressive PG's.. He just looks tike a Raptors PG.......IF he can keep this shooting up.

The problem is IQ's contract. There is no way they should have given him a contract that long.

Shead did the best job on Mitchell as can be expected. 8-)

Let's just win another Championship with Shead playing the FVV role. It will also keep Shead's next contract in control.

Shead, Battle and Mamu can be rotation players on a Championship team that need remain bench players to keep them retainable on their next contract. The depth is really good in case of injuries like when OG got hurt before the playoffs.

Shead leads the league in assist ratio.

Yeah. I have been thinking of that as well. I am sick of giving these guys massive contracts before they prove themselves. I would be nice to lock him up to a Pritchard type contract moving forward.

I spent the offseason posting about how back up PG would be our achilles heel. I was very wrong. It's actually a strength. Very reminiscent of FVV.

Ja’Kobe in particular looks like he should have gone in the 2nd round.

Really impressed with him, it seems like the game has slowed down for him, and he's really running the offense like a floor general.

Nice to finally have a good back up point guard for the first time in 4 years.

Shead knocking down threes consistently has been a joy to see. He started improving towards the tail-end of last year, but he has come into this season locked in.

Our PG situation hasn't been this good since we had Kyle, Fred and Delon. IQ, Shead and Chucky is an embarrassment of riches. I'd like to keep them all.
